As of now the trail is still closed however if you do get a chance to go it's definitely worth an afternoon outside and beautiful nature!!! It's a great little hike not too difficult and the scene is beautiful.

The trail to the falls is closed due to damage incurred during the 2013 flood event. During the spring runoff the falls are marginally impressive but soon dwindle to only a moderate flow. Hike to Ouzel Falls in RMNP for a much better experience!

Visited on August 13, 2016. The drive there was very beautiful. We passed a lot of rock climbers on the way there. When we pulled up, we noticed a lot of people standing at the rail near the entry point. Turns out the pathway to falls were CLOSED. We saw a number of teens who had hopped the gate and... More

This is a great short hike to the beautiful falls and very close to Boulder; only a few miles up Canyon Drive. There are steps but very doable for children but wheelchair accessible. Check before you go as often the trail is closed due to rain or mud

Boulder Falls is CLOSED! If you are caught inside you can get a $250 ticket for trespassing. The trail was damaged in the flood of 2013 and there are still loose rocks that can injure hikers. Please look from the road and don't endanger yourself or others.

Located a few miles up Boulder Canyon from the city of Boulder, this roadside stop displays the power and beauty of nature. Nice view from the road, but there are also paths down to the water

Sweet little falls right along the Boulder Canyon highway up from Boulder to Nederland. Some parking right there. Closed. (city of Boulder website says: Boulder Falls Trail and the area around Boulder Falls remain closed. The trail sustained damage in the flood that needs to be repaired and rock scaling above the trail needs to be completed before the trail... More

We were looking for things to do in Boulder and the Falls showed up on the "top things to do" list. We drove up the mountain and pulled over when we got there. There was a sign posted that it was closed but there were a lot of people who were going on the trail so we decided to go... More

Keep driving! Nothing special here. The Rockies have so much more to offer. Visit RMNP or Indian Peaks Wilderness.

We were really disappointed to find the access to the falls closed when we tried to visit in mid-May. There is a bit of a view from the road which is better than nothing, and it's understandable that they can't allow access if the trail is damaged. From what we could see the falls were good, not great, compared to... More
