The park is easy to find. We hesitated a bit when we got to the end of the paved road as it almost seemed like we had hit a dead-end. There was an Eldorado sign there, but the road in almost looks like it was a private drive. The dirt road first wanders through some fairly rough looking housing and... More

Lots of rock climbers, little trails and cool waterfalls. It was hot but we enjoyed our walk and scenic views.

Every part of the canyon is a sight to behold. We took Rattlesnake Trail and saw the Continental Divide. Only 15 minutes from town.

The Eldorado Canyon. Our first stop was the National Park booth where one pays $8.00 to park with the canyon. The park ranger was full of personality and we could not help but enjoy his sense of humor. He suggested the Fowler Trail and that was a very easy scenic trail. We did leave trail and got lost. Proof of... More

My wife and I recently moved to the Boulder, CO area from the east coast. After unpacking, we jumped at the opportunity to explore some nearby trails in Eldorado Canyon State Park this past weekend. After paying $8 to park, my wife, daughter and I ventured onto the Rattlesnake Gulch Trail, an approximately 3 mile roundtrip hike that brings you... More

There is a nice easy walk on a very flat path that gives you great views. Walks by the Bastille(?) where you can watch the rock climbers. Parking can be limited, it may be easier to drive all the way through to the visitor center and park there and walk back to trails

Perfect place with awesome scenery and easy hiking. Would recommend! Parking 8 dollars per car and brings you right up to the trails.

This is a small park but has some of the finest scenic views anywhere. The hike up the Streamside and Fowler trails are not too difficult or long and offer outstanding views of the canyon. After several hours on these trails, it is wonderful to spend some time at the visitor center by the babbling stream. There are other very... More

We had our first colorado apple here, trees growing everywhere. Easy mountain climb, with beautiful scenery. Huge rocks everywhere and definitely gives you a definition for Rocky Mountains! Highly recommend for a little hike and mountain view up close! $8 to park and expires the next day around noon.

This is a great get away from the hustle and bustle in Denver! Not far at all and you are out in nature in a really unique quiet canyon! You feel like you are stepping into some history as well. Nice variety of trails and great vista's
