Great views, but if you don't like/are fearful of heights, even the Fowler trail is not for you. It is not a hard trail, you are just next to a sheer drop.

Eldorado Canyon State Park is a heaven for climbing, both on the vertical rock walls and for bouldering but there is so much more for the rest of us. Hiking, lounging along the creek, old homesteads and an old restaurant that burned down 100 years ago all offer interesting activities in the park.

Variety of trails from easy, moderate, hard, strenuous. You get to choose. The views are amazing. There is a visitors center for educational purposes and a restroom. There are rock climbers along the way for entertainment. Hot springs facilities near the entrance of the park.

We visited Eldorado Canyon while visiting Colorado and we are SO glad we stopped in! It was only $8 to get into the park and they have several different trails of varying difficulty. We had our son in his stroller and they have an ADA accessible trail that was BEAUTIFUL. We really enjoyed visiting and will be coming back the... More

Spent 2 hours hiking the Rattlesnake Gulch trail to the Crags hotel site but had to turn back due to time constraints. Would have loved to keep going. Steady incline but not overwhelming and views were definitely worth it. Lots of rope climbers to watch along the way. Go here, you won't regret it.

Eldorado Canyon is not far from Boulder and was perfect for an easy afternoon hike (longer trails available, I'm sure). It was also fun to watch the rock climbers.

I've lived around here a long time but had never ventured to Eldorado Canyon. As usual it was out of town guests that got us to pay our day fee and enter the park. It's beautiful! The walk is easy with great views along the way and the canyon is really lovely, often with folks climbing the wall for a... More
