It's a fairly short - but very curvy - drive to the top of Flagstaff Mountain. The road to the summit was closed when we were there but even so the overlook along the way offers spectacular views of Boulder and the surrounding area.

Anybody who's ever spent time in Boulder loves Flagstaff Mountain for a quick way to give out-of-towners a "mountain experience." Once you drive to the top there are plenty of little hikes and spectacular views of Boulder.

I would suggest going during off season or weekdays in the summer. Very popular and crowded on summer weekends.

Beautiful beautiful place. Don't miss the sunset and the views driving up. Everything is great except for the smells from smoking.

My wife and I drove up to see the scenery and WOW. It was so beautiful and peaceful. There are several places to stop to get different views. You can see the whole city of Boulder.
