Great day birding with Carl in Rocky-Mountain-National-Park. He knows his birds, and he knows where to find them. By sight or sound, he was able to identify dozens of species we never would have found on our own. Nice guy to spend the day on tour with. Highly recommend.

I had one day to bird while in Rocky Mountain National Park. Joel Such was my driver and birding guide. He really stepped up and was persistent finding the birds I was looking for. Ended up with 15 life birds and showed me a lot of the local wildlife too. Joel was very knowledgeable. Would not hesitate using Colorado Birding again. Great people…

My family booked an all-day tour for my sister, who is a true birder. I went along, though I'm more casual about birdwatching. Carl knew lots of places in and around Rocky Mountain National Park where specific birds are likely to occur--everything from general habitats to specific nesting sites. My sister was thrilled with the day and ended up with 17 "lifer" species. She just kept saying "Wow!" I had a good time too, just hanging out in the park with them. Had some rain in the afternoon, but that didn't stop us. Carl will go at your pace and can tailor his discussions to experts (like my sister)--talking about the pattern of calls, coloration, tail shape, etc.--or non-experts.…

I booked this "tour" for my bird-loving wife for us to do in Estes Park.I had now idea what to expect. Carl arrived promptly at our Resort, ready with hot coffee, and a very welcoming personality !! he drove us to various places to find the birds my wife wanted to find. Carl not only found birds, and told us all about them, he also informed us about all kinds of plants, animals, and ecosystems. I can honestly say we had a BLAST with him and learned a helluva lot too !! Carl can customize your adventure to however you want it...you can do a TON of Hiking or just a few small jaunts....it is up to you. This guy REALLY enjoys what he does, and it shows !!! he provided coffee...cold water, GREAT homemade muffins and snacks to fend off the hungrys...I can't say enough about this adventure we had with him!!!! HIGHLY RATED !!…

Carl and his wife Linda did a great job finding birds on our late November trip to Boulder. He conducted a "Master class" differentiating between Canada, Cackling, and Richardson's geese on a pond that sported all three. It was fun to see the variety of Colorado's front range habitats, the western birds (I live on the East Coast) and its winter birds, plus I added a few life birds. Really enjoyed lunch too. Thanks to Carl for the tour and Linda for her eagle eyes.…
