    Great Vibe
Spontaneously decided to stop into the Cellar Door for a bite to eat and a drink. Glad we did. What an amazing vibe for a Sunday afternoon. Ordered just Chip, serving size great as was the service. Best part was the live band!!! They were amazing.

    Breakfast is the best meal
We stayed here 3 nights and had dinner here each night. The menu is quite limited and the same things on the menu. We had a nice steak but it was over cooked and not great. Another night I had the pasta which was a bit spicy but good. The salad was good and we had it each night. We were out all day so never had lunch but the breakfast was served in a basket (hamper in Australia) and was quite good with lots of selection and juices for breakfast for 2. Your breakfast is delivered to your room at 630am and you eat on the patio while you watch the exotic birds and wallabies early in the morning.

    Beautiful winery with lovely staff
Me and my friends had a great experience at Sirromet. We had lunch and sat outside to do some wine tasting. All the staff were really friendly. The assistant manager Robert was amazing, he went out of his way to ensure we had a good experience. Thank you Robert !

We stayed here for a night thinking we would enjoy the tasting, but some wines, have a nice dinner etc. We were quite surprised to be told that only 6 wines could be tasted off the menu of 31, even if your happy to pay for the extra tastings. When we queried this we were quite abruptly told by the little red head behind the counter “this is not uncommon at wineries” before storming off. I have been to over 50 wineries in Australia alone and have never encountered this before.

We were told this was to deter people from lingering in the tasting room for long periods taking up space when it’s busy etc.. we also caught wind of staff walking up to other staff and complaining about customers in the adjoining restaurant which we found quite unprofessional. Rather than the passionate and enthusiastic staff you find at a winery who are excited to linger and talk about the wines they offer the staff here seemed bored and regurgitated the tasting notes to us like reciting study notes before shuffling away to serve someone else.

Even more annoying was the staff didn’t advise us that some of the wines on their menu were not available for purchase by the glass over the bar (so these should be the ones to taste if your interested in buying some bottles of wine). So I would recommend the $15 tasting of the premium wines rather than the baseline wines which you can purchase for $13 at the bar later.

Overall quite unimpressed and due to the fact I could not try and taste more wines, I did not buy any. Call me crazy but I’m not paying $60 plus for a wine that I cannot taste first.

My partner and I attended Elton John on Saturday 18th January. The whole experience was far from perfect. While we understand the issues because of the rain, and the extremely long wait to catch the shuttle bus away from the venue, one incident really soured our concert experience. We had back row (W) seats in Section 1 - paid $350.00 each. Just as Elton John was coming onto the stage, the 2 empty seats were finally filled by a woman and her companion (mother, I think) beside my partner. The woman (who sat right beside us) was already intoxicated when she reached their seats. She danced almost in his lap the whole night. She was vaping while she danced and blowing all over us. She also had a bottle of Cinzanno hidden in her bag that she was sneaking drinks from during the show.
After 30 mins I informed Security re the smoking and the guard told her to stop. She put it away but brought it out again shortly after. It made for a very uncomfortable concert for us both. She selfish, disgusting behaviour was noted by other patrons behind us in the next session as they approached us on our way out. It was extremely disruptive and we did not enjoy the show because this was happening beside us. Your security failed to follow through on our complaint when it was very obvious what she was doing, making a mockery of your tolerance policy re behaviour and intoxication. She also ignored any attempt on our part to stop her dancing and waving her arms (smoking device) in front of my partner. Disappointed beyond belief to have had our concert experience ruined like that.

Went to see a concert here and the whole experience was not good.
When hosting such large events, there is clearly a bad combination of bringing in temporary staff who don't know what they're doing, along with other staff who are stressed with the extra volume of patrons. Abrupt service, confused staff and everything being rushed just did not work well.
The concert itself was chaotic. A complete lack of signage, queues all over the place and again, confusion just let the venue down. Within the seating area, the amount of litter under and around the seats was disgraceful.
Not a venue I would return to.

Great set up for a concert as saw A Ha pump out the synth hits. Reasonable food choices however no beer choices at all. Disappointing security for the concert at times. Paid for front row seats and others who paid less tried to get up there which was annoying. No beer choices, light beer (what?) yet most people drunk on wine.

I had a lovely meal at the Tuscan terrace today, and the service was excellent, we were looked after by Lisa, I have never been looked after so well, very professional.

The other guests were soooo rude to all the servers, they asked for things that the restaurant couldn’t make & complained & then laughed when the staff left claiming that they would get free alcohol. I think that next time their reservation should be cancelled, they just were out to get free stuff when restaurants are already suffering from Covid restrictions.

WARNING FOR WEDDINGS

We had Sirromet hedge our wedding that had been booked for 6 months with a day on the green (An 8000+ people rock concert). We got an email letting us know it would be advertised the next day at 4:10pm with no return phone number and the office wouldn’t answer the phone. We then had the pleasure over the next few days of dealing with Risko the “manager” who would talk over the top of us with our concerns of sharing our day with 8000+ others and a rock concert and was told we were the only ones in 15 years to have a problem with it.

None of this was mentioned as being even the slightest bit possible when they happily took all of our deposits which were the only thing refunded. We are now out of pocket a few thousand for other related bookings and guest arrangements that have since been forfeited.

Tiffanys Maleny is similar in cost and absolutely demolishes this place for a venue.

Tuscan Terrace - DISAPPOINTMENT +

Booked many weeks ago to celebrate family member birthday noting some family members took the day off work. Our booking was confirmed via text (so they had our mobile number). Turn up about 11:50am Sunday to find it is closed due to staff shortages. We have no issue and totally understand effects C19 is having. What we do not understand is why this eatery closed over 10days ago and no one was decent enough to let us know.

We were thankfully fitted in to a restaurant at Raby Bay which was absolutely brilliant. We now have a new favourite! Would NEVER attend or recommend Sirromet ever again.

We were given a tour, wine tasting and tuscan luncheon as a gift - simply amazing! Our tour and tasting guide - Rina Tanaka - was so knowledgeable and helpful which made the experience so enjoyable. We learnt a lot about this local winery and really appreciated the range of wines associated with Sirromet. Our Tuscan luncheon was divine and staff most helpful. Certainly a place we will come back to.
What a great vibe seeing so many people enjoying beautiful Queensland winter weather in such a relaxed environment. Clearly it's popularity places Sirromet as a popular local destination on the foodie food and wine trail.
Thank you Rina and your colleagues for a great Sunday out :)

My partner and I attended a concert at Sirromet on the weekend (first concert since Covid). To my very big surprise we were charged $20 to park at Sirromet. I have attended many concerts at Sirromet pre-covid and have never been charged for car parking. With the amount of cars parked there a more reasonable charge of $5 would have been appropriate. It was horrendous trying to leave as there was no traffic controllers (like there used to be when parking was free). Also, the chairs were crammed together so social distancing wasn't really possible in the seated areas but if you went to the bar or the food establishments you had to observe social distancing rules. Seems a bit contradictory to me. My experience has turned me off attending future concert events at Sirromet Winery.

Thank you for your recent visit and for taking the time to provide your feedback. Traffic management and parking for a day on the green events are managed by the promotors and we have therefore passed your feedback onto them for review. We do hope to see you again soon.

I had called multiple times to make a reservation and confirm it, but the lady on the phone (who always fails to give her name) is extremely rude and always in a hurry to hang up the phone. For a gourmet dining restaurant, you would think the staff would be well trained to be hospitable. We have made a reservation for a special event and hope to have a wonderful experience at the restaurant.
