This was the most exhilarating thing I’ve done in my life! I only wish I could have done it longer or over and over. I LOVE flying like a bird!!! It was so awesome and the pilots were also awesome. Greg and Dave were excellent and very encouraging. It was a totally great experience and I can’t wait to do it again!

If I said that I am terrified of heights, it would be the understatement of the year.

My wife wanted to do this and I grudgingly agreed to call these guys to inquire (nothing more). I called David 2 days before we were scheduled to be in Vail and he explained details to me - including the ideal time to do this for beginners and what would be involved etc. His calm demeanor gave me the confidence to at least show up and the decide if I wanted to do it.

We went to the landing site and saw the different instructors swoop in gracefully from the sky - got me excited, but the waiver forms only got me more anxious.

We drove up to the launch spot and I found a bench farthest away from the edge and sat down wondering what the heck I was doing there (though the words forming in my mind are unprintable).

Tom, the other instructor was constantly giving me encouragement and was explaining everything in greater detail. He realized my abject fear and actually ran with me as we were taking off. And then.......

WOW - what an incredible view - the flight was extremely smooth and the views spectacular. The harness and the seat made me much more comfortable. We had a fantastic run and the landing was awesome.

These guys are pros and I am VERY thankful to David and Tom for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Oh...and did I say that I am scared of heights !!!!

I highly recommend paragliding with Dave and Greg. From the moment I called to inquire about the experience to the final landing, I felt safe and trusted the individuals in this company. It was a dream that I had, yet didn't discover the courage until I met them. With professionallism, passion and focus on the client, this company is exceptional. The experience was powerful, the views breathtaking and the memories are heartfelt.

After meeting the very knowledgeable pilots and hearing their instructions, I felt 100% comfortable sending my teenage children out for a flight. Their experience was absolutely amazing and they loved every minute. I enjoyed watching from the top of the mountain as they soared down the beautiful Vail valley to the landing zone. I would highly recommend Vail Valley Parasailing Adventures to everyone!

Owner Dave and pilot Kris were so patient in explaining everything to this first-time senior glider. I hadn't ever considered doing this but decided to try it. Things went smoothly even after the aborted attempt due to the breeze dropping at the last minute. The flight gliding down 1500 feet seemed so short - I could have stayed up there twice as long. That early morning flight gave me an adrenalin rush that lasted all day long. I couldn't stop smiling. My children back home were impressed that I'd done this - and my grandson was extremely impressed.

Many problems with this group. The web site says that the flights are 15-30 minutes. In reality if you do the 7:45 flight your flight will probably be under 10 minutes. They overbook reservations. On the day we attempted to do this activity 7 people were left who were unable to fly. They claimed it was the weather and the weather was a factor. But if they had done the 3 sets of flights they had planned to do there would have still been 3 people who didn't get to fly. We showed up at 8:45, as instructed. We waited until 11:30 when they told us that they couldn't do any more flights and that if we wanted to, we could come back the next day. We then had to wait to be shuttled back down the mountain. A half day of our vacation was wasted sitting and waiting for something that never happened.

Paragliding is a beautiful sport, and we are so fortunate to be able to share it with others through tandem instructional flights. It is also very dependent on the weather. Our morning site provides usually consistent conditions, and through many years of conducting business at this location, we have a well-planned schedule for our guests. We monitor weather projections throughout each day so that we can anticipate when the weather will not be favorable for our tandem flights. In these situations, we reschedule so that our guests can maximize their vacation time. But unfortunately weather forecasts are not always correct in this mountain area, and sometimes despite all of our efforts, guests may have to wait longer than anticipated for their flights, or flights may have to be cancelled. While we would prefer not to do this, it is our primary responsibility to make decisions that ensure the safety of our guests and pilots and we will continue to do so. Most guests are quite understanding and appreciative when this happens, even if it means that they have to come back another day or on their next visit. We look forward to another opportunity to enable this reviewer to experience the joy of paragliding.

These guys are awesome!
This was a major item on my bucket list that I was able to cross off, and these guys made it super easy. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, but as soon as arrived David, the instructor, explained how smooth everything was going to work. He was an incredible teacher, and I felt super comfortable.
And then the feeling of flying was amazing! To literally be up in the sky with the birds is one of the most amazing feelings in the world!
If you are in the Vail/Beaver Creek area, you have to connect with these guys.

We took our 8 and 10 year olds to paraglide with 4 of the instructors of Vail Valley. They were so nice to our kids and made it a fantastic experience overall.
