Since everyone else is writing about the hiking trails I have to stay that simply driving up and down Kings Mountain Road and Skyline Boulevard in a nicely capable sports car is a joy all its own! Put the top down if you can and enjoy the surreal and magical landscape and canopy overhead. Really a special place and worth... More

The distances varies from map to the signs and it's hard to figure out where the trails start. The signage is not precise enough and if you are a novice you can probably get lost in the maze of trails. The woods are beautiful and lots of redwoods and gorgeous.

We enjoyed half a day walking in the forest like park, on trails and using clues to find destinations. Its a great place for team activities as well as for a family picnic. The only downside was a lot of horse poop on the trails.

This is a great spot- in the heart of Silicon Valley (10 min from Stanford, Sand Hill Road, etc.) is the Town of Woodside which feels like you are deep in the woods and a bit a part of the old west. Huddart park is a great place to hike/walk amongst the flora and fauna- amazing trees, streams, places to... More

Huddart Park is located in San Mateo County, South of San Francisco. One of the Bay Area's many parks, Huddart has picnic tables and trails for a relaxing barbecue. It also has a few varities of hikes the park brochure is available online and has options for novice to experienced hikers. BAhiker.com provides details on a nice 4.4 loop.

We came here for Saturday afternoon picnic (20 ppl), there are plenty of picnic tables, open areas, play grounds, perfect place for families. You can always find a nice quiet spot, even for big groups. No need to reserve tables.

This was perfect for a mid-day hike. Almost all shaded, good trail, redwoods, oaks, wild flowers, even a babbling brook. Starting at the parking lot with the big lawn and a couple volleyball courts, you can use the restroom and head up the Dean. Staying left gives you the switchbacks on the first half of the hike, leaving a relaxed... More

Huddart Park is a San Mateo County Park. It has forested slopes and steep canyons. There are places to have barbecues and picnics. There are numerous picnic tables. There are a number of hiking trails. With Woodside being a popular community for equestrians, horse riding is also popular on the trails. There are nice meadows as well with one having... More

There is a whole web of trails in this area - as short as a mile or two, or much longer. One of the longer loops starts close to town, goes up to Skyline, then back down through Huddart - total of about 19 miles or more, with lots of climbing (and painful descending!). Very serene, some wildlife, some very... More

Went for a weekend hike here. Trail was a bit short, only a mile or two. Nice trees, quiet. Saw several deer even. The road getting up to the park from Woodside, CA was crazy though. Felt like being in a race car with all of the twists.
