We enjoyed this scenic beach for a couple of hours. We went at low tide and looked in the tide pools. We found critons and anemones.

Nice stop while driving the scenic road above the beach. You will find a heavily bended fir tree on the rock, Luffenholtz was the name of a former settlement in this place.

1. Drive to here, yes the scenic road is Rough. 2. Narrow parking space: not happen to me cuz only 2-3 cars on my visit. 3. Tough coast trail access: sure! Like other reviews said, not ADA compliant. But, my motivation increased when I saw...More

My son and I loved the beach itself. We didn't mind the many poorly-maintained stairs as much as the huge rock pile at the end of it that blocks the beach. I had to lift my poor elderly dog over a large rock and she...More

We went down the stairs with out 2 year old. There were some young locals drinking with their dogs running around. It's a small rocky area of a beach, and there are other beaches nearby that are nicer. The parking area is tiny and on...More

Luffenholtz is a great little beach that never gets crowded. The creek runs through the beach to the ocean here, and can be fun to explore a bit. The beach is accessible in both high and low tides. Note that this is NOT a good...More

Awesome little beach, lots of sea life in the tidal pools, however take warning from the broken glass on the ground and secure your valuables. Many cars broken into here and the alarm will not be heard at the beach.

We stopped here on recommendation from a local. We didn't get a chance to visit the beach but took the trail to the lookout point. Beautiful! We were the only ones there which made it even better. We were unable to visit at sundown but...More

Unfortunately the beach is accessed by a trail and steps. But there is a beautiful overlook picnic area with accessible parking.
