We went to the Abbey after an event on a Saturday. There was a huge line waiting to get in, luckily, we got to go to the front of the line with our wristbands. The place was jammed. There were male and female dancers on the various stages. People mingling all around. Lots of energy and lots of fun. The... More

Visited The Abbey for my first time to enjoy a night of drinks and dancing. Now I will state that being involved in the party scene in Miami for a long time I tend to be particular about where I feel I can have a good time and really go all out on a dance floor. Three important criteria for... More

Friends and I came here for happy hour. It's an odd place. There's a combination of locals and tourists, and it's not always easy to tell who is who. It wasn't that full. We sat and watched a picky customer send back her food and moan to the waiter. Our waiter had no charm or service skills, although wasn't rude;... More

I love this place . It's really a good night out with a great atmosphere. Good dancing and drinking as well as really nice looking bar staff. I really recommend you go out and enjoy your night at the Abbey.

Awesome place to have fun with gay-friendly people. The music is good and the staff is nice. The place is well-located.

My husband and I would walk by here all the time on our way to other places and never thought to stop. Too loud, too many people, to much drinking, too young, not our place (too outdoorsy), and then we went! What fun, what great service, what a find in our own backyard. Does not matter, young, old, straight, gay,... More

I was approached by someone.... he told me I was not able to stay at the empty table I was sitting at if I did not have an open tab with the bartender. I APPOLOGIZED, took my drink and left. Found a spot at the bar.... 15 minutes later a party left so I grabbed a chair and hang at... More

Wanted to go out to an authentic WeHo institution during my visit to LA, and everyone recommended the Abbey. After my experience, I'd never go back. The staff was extremely rude and condescending, and the place was rather dirty. Wouldn't recommend.

Abbey has the energy that you need on a pre-late night: immense bars, loud music, heteroclite crowded, beautiful people and ... Strippers. Enjoy a friendly place for fun and gathering.

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
