Wanted to go out to an authentic WeHo institution during my visit to LA, and everyone recommended the Abbey. After my experience, I'd never go back. The staff was extremely rude and condescending, and the place was rather dirty. Wouldn't recommend.

Abbey has the energy that you need on a pre-late night: immense bars, loud music, heteroclite crowded, beautiful people and ... Strippers. Enjoy a friendly place for fun and gathering.

We ho(West Hollywood) is defiantly one of the best places of Los Angeles but The Abbey definitely completes it ! I really recommend the food here which was amazing and great tasting. I remembering ordering shrimp skewers which went well before a night out. The drinks were so great ! a bit strong which really makes them absolutely worth getting... More

Even though this is in the heart of boys town, all will be comfortable here. Drinks are big and strong, as are the dancers!

I have been here a few times and there are three things that never fell, the people are really hot, mango mojitos are the bomb, but the security guards are always extremely rude especially to females. They really need to hire new security guards because they can really make or break your experience.

The Abbey. I have heard of it for so many years now and since we were in West Hollywood we stopped in. We stayed ALL day. What a relaxed atmosphere. Good drinks, good music and good food!! We weren't sure what to expect as this is a well known bar but we went in and made friends and had a... More

The Abbey is 25 years old! I love going to the Abbey, most of all, on Sundays, The brunch, under the umbrellas on the Patio is very nice. Enjoy food, that could be a little better, but has improved in the last year, and have a drink or two. If you engage with the waiters and bartenders, they couldn't be... More

Service- slow, food marginal. This is a restaurant, yet they permit smoking. It's absolutely revolting, unhealthy and disgusting. Never again!

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
