Funny gay bar in WeHo, with hot dancers and nice ambient! Sometimes crowded, but the line is fast and there is no cover!

The Abbey is a very large gay bar and restaurant with great food, a friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Happy hour is always packed, and it is less crowded during the day when people linger over brunch or a long social lunch with cocktails.

Had lunch there and it was wonderful. The staff were very friendly, very fast and even moved the table out of the sun for us! They even gave us a tour of the building. highly recommended.

The Abby is all about atmosphere and good drinks, the food is secondary. We were a large group, several of us were middle aged women. The staff was welcoming and playful. We shared a variety of appetizers, which varied from average (the burrito) to very good (the tacos). The drinks were all good. We just wanted to relax, dance and... More

This is a one of a kind place with amazing looking men in their underwear grinding on poles and giving lap dances, gay couples frolicking around, and a cool club like vibe throughout with non-stop people watching opportunities. Can get crowded so get a table if you can afford it. The wait staff was very good, and people were pretty... More

We went to the Abbey after an event on a Saturday. There was a huge line waiting to get in, luckily, we got to go to the front of the line with our wristbands. The place was jammed. There were male and female dancers on the various stages. People mingling all around. Lots of energy and lots of fun. The... More

Visited The Abbey for my first time to enjoy a night of drinks and dancing. Now I will state that being involved in the party scene in Miami for a long time I tend to be particular about where I feel I can have a good time and really go all out on a dance floor. Three important criteria for... More

Friends and I came here for happy hour. It's an odd place. There's a combination of locals and tourists, and it's not always easy to tell who is who. It wasn't that full. We sat and watched a picky customer send back her food and moan to the waiter. Our waiter had no charm or service skills, although wasn't rude;... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
