BC thanks you all for a good time:)
Me and my wife wanted to get out and enjoy ourselves for a night. Stumbled across Whiskey to go go. Right from walking in the door we felt welcome being from British Columbia whe had a hoot. We got seated and our waitress was so much more than you could ask for. Awsome hospitality. Talking with the ladies about the different atmosphere in BC and Alberta. Went for a drink or two. Ended up staying the entire nite. Our waitress took the time to sit down with us and have a visit. I can't wait until 2025 to go back. Will definitely spend more than one night. Door men absolutely awsome. Nothing but a breathtaking night.

    Legendary Rock joint
A must for music lovers, small historical rock club in Hollywood. Have seen several bands here..small but fun place for live shows. Bar with decently priced drinks for Hollywood abd the staff is professional.

    Whisky a must must
The name says it all if you are any sort of Rock and Roll enthusiast. Music genre is a bit hit or miss pending your preferences. Multiple artists nightly. Cool vibe. Cover charge was $20 when we went.

    Historical Venue
A must if you love music and are in the area. The Mecca of rock music in the states if not the world! In the book of whos who in rock over 90% have played/ drunk here. Its an intimate venue so its up close and personal. We prebooked a table upstairs and were politely escorted there. The staff and crowd were very friendly - even with my Manchester accent! The drinks were reasonably priced too. Highly Recommended.

It was great to see this true musical institution on Sunset. Where so many rock and other groups and performers played and got their beginnings since the early 1960s.

Jim Morrison and The Doors were the house band for some time in the mid-60s. During these hectic years traffic jams around the Whiskey were legendary.

Showed up at 7:30 pm to see three bands and ended up seeing 5! It was fun as the bands progressed to the final two. Loved Manic (young guys from San Diego), and Aerosmyÿthe and the final Hollywood Roses! The staff are fantastic and very professional. As the crowd thinned they let us sit at the booths and we stayed right too the end. Uber to my hotel and had one of my best sleeps yet according to my Fitbit. Wish this bar was around the corner from me to go to every weekend :)

Was so excited to be at the Whiskey a GoGo to see a local band make their debut there. The greats have played there and you can almost feel there presence. Reverend Jack killed their set and the ghost of the greats applauded.

It was Saturday night and it was relatively empty. The band that was playing was very good (Aldo Nova and band), but I didn't know. The audience was older than I expected (45+). Cold and easily accessible drink. The ballad ends around 1:30am. I expected more. That is MY opinion.

Fun night at the Whiskey. FanHalen was great and the opening bands were also entertaining. We were there for a few hours, we enjoyed food, drinks and bought T-shirts as souvenirs. History and a fun night rolled into one.

Had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy live music at this venue. There were two cover bands and the second band was definitely very good. The bar kept us well-hydrated.

Overall, good experience and will definitely return for more memories.

As part of our honeymoon in October/November last year, My wife and I stayed in Hollywood for 8 nights, and had a great time.

For me, the highlight was finally experiencing the world famous Whisky A Go Go. Being a fan of all musicians that had once graced the stage here (Doors, Motley Crue, Guns n Roses, Van Halen etc) it truly was a dream come true to step in there, down a few Jack Daniels, pinch myself, and then think to myself - I have finally done it, my life is now complete !!!

Highly recommend anyone to go there if in Hollywood, bar staff were ultra friendly, and they took a couple of snaps of us in there, and answered the millions of questions we threw their way.

Planning to go back to USA in 2006, so look out Whisky, wre gonna do it bigger and badder next time round!!

I recently visited this place was just passing by with some friends and we decided to check it out to see what all the hype was about. This place is nasty the staff was very rude the security were jerks the only thing good about our visit was a band called Dollar N Change which we became instant fans of this band was awesome! but I would not come to this place again there are much better places in Hollywood to go see live music.

For some reason I've been drawn to this place , I even booked into a hotel near by during our tour of California so I could come here (sad).
It didn't disappoint as the band playing the night I was there The Lazy Stalkers were mental. They were so full of energy and really entertaining. I even got to meet with them and get a photo with them outside after.
The bar itself is a dive, and it wasn't particularly busy (monday night) but the history of this place just seeps from the walls. If you are a huge fan of what this place stands for and the history behind it you must visit. The bar maid was kinda up herself but thats her problem not mine. The door staff were friendly and took a photo of us outside.
Paid $5 c.c.and its $6 for a beer.
