Nothing exciting about the his place but the name. Closed during the day and not even a peek inside permitted. At night not much going on early evening on a Wednesday. Drinks over priced but can say I've seen it.

I flew to LA to see The Suburbs play at Whiskey-a-Go-Go. Had never been to the infamous club and was excited to check it out. The band sounded great and the room was full of dancing fans - great show, great atmosphere!!

Visited as this place is a rock n roll legend. We just found it very sanitised and boring. Not much of a rock n roll vibe to us. "Don't stand on the carpet if you're holding a drink, stay on the dance floor" etc. Lots...More

My husband being an old "rocker" really wanted to see this place. We checked 1st, took a 1 hr bus ride ,hoping to go for lunch & look around. The place was closed with no hours or details posted. Poor website.

I used to go to the Whiskey when I was in my early 20's and that crowd will probably still like it. The drinks are pretty weak and overpriced and the bands are just on the OK side... I had out of town guest and...More

The real birthplace of Rock and Roll. A historic place where many legendary bands played. Perhaps the most famous is The Doors. Yes, they played here in the 1960s. The Beatles stopped in once and sat in one of the booths. Here you will touch...More

I was so excited to see the Whiskey. I’ve waited 35 years for this, though my husband has been here several times in the past. We both love the history. We wanted a quick drink before dinner and had to pay $20 each to get...More

We caught a Rolling Stones tribute show. What a fun time! The 3+ hour set included more than 20 musicians who switched out from song to song. Leif Garrett sang (blast from the past), as did several other musicians from bands like Whitesnake, Natalie Merchant,...More

I believe the seating is VIP only, handful of booths. Small place. And we stood for a few hours, had to keep shifting my weight back and forth.

Casual! It's fun to dress depending on what kind of band- but jeans are perfectly acceptable- I am sure shoes required and a shirt but-
