Cool place.

Understated and not glitzy like you would expect. Dark, small, and private. Historically very interesting back to gangster days...That's why Depp initially bought it.

The location is located next to one of the worlds biggest banks so it's convenient to withdraw cash if more is needed. There's a bar upstairs and bar downstairs so it's easy to keep the liqueur flowing lol. Plenty of groups of women to buy alcohol for and stores located close for you if you need some grub. The list... More

Gotta say that this is a small place! Well idk, I guess I expected a lil more. There's a stage and a bar upstairs, and a really small room with a bar downstairs. The whole place is quite gloomy and plain, I'd say. Anyway there was a gig right when we visited and the place was pretty crowded. It might... More

As you probably know, this is Johnny Depp's old place and is probably more famous for River Phoenix. It's smaller than I would have thought, but does get a good atmosphere going. They have live music, mostly unknowns, and you get to see busy music execs discussing wether or not to sign. It starts late, so if you get there... More

This place is worth a visit because of the historical significance of the place. It's now become a standard sticky-floored rock club, but good to go and have a couple of drinks.

We went to the Viper Room about 9pm on a Sunday night. The crowd wasn't huge but the bands were awesome. We really wanted to check it out because its an icon and the whole 'river pheonix died there' but the staff are friendly and the vibe is cool. It can seem overwhelming to go in at first but the... If you're out and about the Viper Room is right on Sunset Strip, perfect for partying while listening to great music! This place rocks, I've been there several times and have nothing bad to say about it.

Had always wanted to stop in and visit this place. Cover charge and decent prices on drinks. Got to see a cool band. Neat atmosphere. Will visit again when passing thru

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
