We were lucky to find 2 rooms inside Yosemite park on short notice. So without much expectations we went to the lodge. We got one room with a bathroom and one without. It was an old building but had a lot of charm and character....More

We enjoyed the quiet Victorian style accommodations. The room was very small but it was clean. Take advantage of the meadow hike across the street or the short hike to the covered bridge and horses next door. Dinner was over-priced but good.

Wow, the drive by itself to the Wawona Hotel in the middle of Yosemite forests was so exciting and thrilling! ☺

Back to the Wawona Hotel for our annual visit. Yes, I know, the name has been changed to "Big Trees", but, somehow, that just doesn't do it justice. This hotel and the outlying buildings take you back about 100 years. So - if it's peace...More

This hotel has many historic photos and the early days of Yosemite can be reviewed in pictures. There is a golf course and golf shop open in the summer we hope to play next year.

It is a nice experience. The only drawback is that there are not bathroom facilities in the original building. The setting is beautiful. The rooms are very small but are clean and well kept. The dining room has a wide variety of food items at...More

Rooms are small, but nice. We had a room with a bathroom (recommended, especially if its cold.) The bathroom was furnished with a clawfoot tub, a small sink, and a toilet and worked fine. I've decided that I won't be combining the shower with a...More

Go back in time to cocktails on the Veranda, cheerful friendly service, small but clean rooms, and a beautiful setting. Now named Big Trees due to the ludricous suit by previous landlords, the Hotel is funky and fun and relaxed plus still in the park....More
