Went to Gizdich Ranch last weekend because I was craving pie and wanted to get some pies for friends. Got a few of the double berry dutch apple. Everyone loved them. I also tried an apple dumpling while I was there. Comes with a caramel sauce and optional ice cream. It was fantastic. Great place to take the family to pick apples, berries and strawberries when in season. If you know you're going to stop there, call ahead to order your pie(s) and/or dumplings. They have quite a variety and they are all excellent. Their strawberry rhubarb is just like my grandma used to make. And, the family that runs the ranch is very nice and down to earth.

My friend and I both bought a case of gravensten apples. Two days later we started peeling and preparing apples. We both were only able to use a little over a half of each case. They were rotten and like mush. Had to throw away so many away. Out of the two cases we got one good case of apples. Very disappointed. We paid $59 a case.

Been here on MC rides, car rides, and just because rides and it is always good. Apple crunch (hot of course) with vanilla ice cream is to die for. Wife likes the rutabaga pie. Antique shop is fun and walking through the orchards is always a blast. Will go there again & again & again till I'm too old. Then I will have someone else drive me there!

When in season, they offer pick your own berry opprotunities. Always available is their gift shop and pie bakery. You can buy pie by the slice or a whole pie. There is an antique store with inconsistent hours.

My parents took me here for the first time 30 years ago. I've been coming back ever since. This is a great family farm where your children can learn about agriculture and farming. Kids can pick apples and enjoy freshly pressed apple cider and apple pie.

This is a place where you will find more than just delicious pies; you will find a beautiful Ranch-Setting where you can seat and enjoy a slice of pie while listening to the birds, looking at the apple trees and watching the kids play on the old tractor or the toys on the yard. During season, you can also pick your own fruits like berries, apples and others. You can also take a look at the antiques at the antique's shop. If you go on a hot day, make sure to try their fresh squeezed apple slushy (my kid's favorite). Gizdich Ranch is definitely one of Watsonville's hidden gems; but if you find it, you will love it!

This was a lovely drive coming from Los Banos, CA to reach the Gizdich Ranch. The end of September was a good time of year to bring 3 toddlers on an apple-picking expedition! We had brought our own bags, but they have them there if you need to use theirs. I would strongly suggest you arrive close to when it opens up....9am. By the time we got ready to leave, shortly after 11am, the Ranch was packed with families and their children out picking several varieties of apples. Today they were all priced at $1.40 per pound.
After gathering our apples and paying for them we walked over to a play area designed especially for young children. There was a fun triple-stacked hay stack, farm-size tractor and other yard toys for the children to play with. Don't dress in your Sunday best! Lots of dirt, but that's what you should expect when you're out picking apples! Restrooms were clean. Plenty of parking (if you arrive early!). We stopped for a delicious piece of apple pie (other varieties were available) and some apple juice + coffee. There is also a gift shop on site. Lovely way to spend the day with the grandchildren!

Great place operated by great people. Best pies ever. Service is fabulous. We have also had a ball picking our own berries to make wonderful desserts.

Excellent variety of things to see, buy, taste and do. My wife loves to buy the different flavors of Honey and kitchen trinkets that they sell. I love the variety if pies and juices they make.
We take out of town family members to experience the Gizdich Ranch and they love it!
