There are currently four (4) wineries situated on old (79) between Temecula and Julian. Of the four wineries, three (3) are almost next-door neighbors. Shadow Mountain was fun as well as the other two neighbor wineries. I enjoyed all three so I may get somewhat...More

I'm stating up front that I do not drink - I came here with my wife, eldest daughter and son-in-law. Alex and Pam have built a real jewel here. Pam is knowledgeable and unpretentious with her comprehensive wisdom on wine - she is here to...More

There is an attractive and very rural rock-strewn gravelly and rough road to the main tasting room. On the way up to the ample parking and very rustic lot, one passes by whimsically devised signboards for each planting area for all of the grape types....More

This is a small, unassuming winery that differs from the showy tasting rooms we've seen far too often. Well worth your time if you really appreciate wine. All the wines are good but the reds are exceptional. Pam was delightful and clearly proud of what...More

On highway 79 near Warner Springs, this little tasting room and relaxing patio is a great find. They have ~7-8 wines, 4 of which we liked. There were 4 of us, so instead of buying a tasting, we sampled a few wines suggested by the...More

From Palm Desert to Warner Springs where Shadow Mt Winery is located is about 100 miles/2hrs. They do have picnic tables and a nice shaded area to sit and eat
