We were guests of my wife's oldest son in Carlsbad/Oceanside and he took us to Iron Fist for a few beers before dinner out. What a great place, friendly people and a wide range of beers including something for everyone, and games to entertain the kids as well. I personally enjoyed their "Octoberfist" and since we're from the east coast,... More

We walked here from our hotel, which was handy. Loved the beers. Loved the vibe. Food was available the day we visited. Looking forward to returning soon.

Several of us went as family with a dog. The dog was not bored. We tried about 15 beers. We all had our favorites. Suggest doing samplers, figuring out what you love, and then going for pints. That's what we did. There was also a food truck outside that served Polish food. We tried four or five kinds. The whole... More

Iron Fist is located near half a dozen other breweries in an industrial park. Parking can be a bit challenging and the signage on the back of the building (from where you approach) is not very obvious. Once inside you are greeted by plenty of atmosphere and a friendly staff. The decor is rustic to be sure. The beer selection... More

The place is not huge, but can accommodate a big crowd, and what interesting it's a dog friendly (I saw a few dogs around today). My selection of the beers - first was Nelson the ImPALEr - extra pale ale, light, but little bit on a bitter side (I'm still getting used to a bitterness of the ales), my second... More

We tried 5 beers here, a sampler and a glass of Spice of Life. For Whom the Bag Pipes and Spice of Life were my favorites. Of the 5, there wasn't a single beer we didn't like. The atmosphere is great and the staff very friendly and helpful. Their food truck schedule is posted on a board in the tasting... More

Went to the Iron Fist Tasting Room in Barrio Logan. Which is just a 3 minutes from downtown. The space is industrial and has some amazing local brews on tap. The owners were very accommodating to our group. Great for families as children are allowed and huge outdoor patio seating. Great for large groups such as ours.

We were on our way to UFC 189 in San Diego and we decided to pull over and hit up a brewery. Let me tell you the Raisin a fist is the sweetest beer I've ever had. Simply amazing. I may even carry some of these beers at my bar. Maybe the 5 stars is due to the alcohol but... More

It's nice to walk into a business that is owned by locals. In San Diego, to have a brewery (the craft beer capital of the world, by the way) owned by a family is something special. They make incredible beer to boot. The most impressive thing is how different all of their beer tastes. They use different yeast strains for... More
