This was a very interesting and fun 45 minute tour traveling down a steep wooden staircase and then a steep metal spiral staircase into the "Moaning Cavern!" We had a wonderful guide who gave us a lot of interesting information about how the cave formed and it's history. I am 66 years old and not in the best of shape, but managed to make it down and back up all the stairs by myself. It was a little slow going due to the steepness of the stairs, but you spend a fair amount of time at the bottom listening to the guide's talk, so it gives you time to gear up for the hike back up. I wouldn't bring small children due to the steepness of the stairs, but there were kids on our tour over the age of 8 or 9 who seemed to do just fine.

A very good tour. $20 each for a 45 min tour. Tours go in with 10 persons max. Reservations required. Cool inside - ~60 degrees F. Lots of steps down and back up. Spiral staircase can be intimidating if scared of heights (about 130 steps on the case). Due to COVID, masks were required. The more adventuresome expedition tour was not available, nor the zip line rides (due to COVID restrictions). Definitely, a unique sight to see.

The 3hour Adventure Tour is one of the most fun things I've ever done with my teenager. Understand this is a physically strenuous tour some 85 feet below the 165ft platform that most people descend to. You'll have to pull, push and squeeze your way through nearly a dozen passageways to move from one AMAZING room to another. Our guide, Zoe, was fabulous. It was a real treat to have her guidance with just the two of us. We got dirty, physically and mentally challenged and LOVED every minute of it. My son was so rightfully proud of himself after completing the tour. This is not for the faint of heart. Physically, I'd recommend that you be able to at least do 20 pushups, a couple pull-ups and plank for a minute to know that you're in good enough shape for this ADVENTURE. You'll be tired when you're done, but really, truly, satisfied with what you've just accomplished.

I've never seen anything like this cavern. For the spiral tour, no flashlight or helmet needed. You don't need hiking shoes either. The first staircase is cramped to get through, but it's not that long. I think my tour guide's name was Jonathan: he was great. The tour group had a few kids on it and they all seemed to love it. 45 minutes was a good length. I also did their axe throwing above ground. $7 for 15 throws. Not difficult to learn. The area around the cavern is very scenic.

We learned winter is the best time to go! Always ~61 degrees in the caves and no one is there so private tour! Great tour guide, Zoey!!!
