The Muong Cultural museum consists of several old stilt houses that range from the royal house to the poorest. There is an exhibit of antiquities of clothing to funeral traditions, the site is housed in old war fortifications which in itself interest. The artist who owns it works his pottery there... shame none of it seems on sale as there was some exquisite pottery and screen prints on display in gallery. Tickets are available at the restaurant just before (also parking there) very nice lunch there too... apparent an exquisite view over pool at top of hill which we found out at bottom of hill, already dripping in sweat, we decided not this trip. Tour guide in English for extra money... well worth visit about 2 hours is well enough time OH and they entertained our 11 year old on bamboo playground nicely while we wandered on tour.. good tour
