LOVE this place for peace and quiet. Great walking paths. Always cool, so head there in the heat of the summer for a beautiful way to cool off. Plus, it's right in my back yard, so I pass through each day from work.

What a great place to get off of the beaten path and enjoy the wonders of the majestic redwoods. During a recent road trip we planned a visit to the redwoods on our last day in Ukiah. We took along a picnic of local cheeses...More

If you love driving curvy mountainous roads you will love this park. The redwoods are stupendous and the silence is stunning. Not an easy drive, but worth it.

This is a place to walk quietly and contemplate these big old growth redwoods. It is meditative and serene. Getting there is a challenge as Orr Springs Road is in bad shape. it is worth the challenge to spend a couple hours in quiet.

A wonderful easy 1.5 mile hike. Getting there early in the morning, before the parking lot was full made it really special.

A fabulous redwood grove with amazing trees to view at any time of the year. Pack your lunch and take in the beauty. If the season is right there are waterfalls to enjoy. Well worth the drive on Orr Springs road for an amazing hike....More

This hike was fantastic! There are lots of photo opportunities. We enjoyed taking our time to observe the surrounding nature. I recommend long pants since there are lots of mosquitoes.

One of the stand out experiences of our trip to California. We originally wanted to see the redwoods at the Avenue of the Giants but it was too far away from where we were staying at Fort Bragg, so we chose Montgomery Woods instead. This...More

Beautiful old growth redwood forest. Giant ferns, great seclusion. The longest 13 mile drive you'd ever take. We were in no hurry and had nobody in the back seat. Road would not be good for car sick children.
