We went for our 14yr old son's first time skiing to Sierra at Tahoe. My husband and I had not been in 15years so we all took the promotional adult beginner lessons. Best decision ever! For $49 we got a 2.5 hour lesson (instructor was amazing) AND the equipment. It was a gorgeous day and we lived it and will... More

We stayed in Tahoe (Harrah's and Worldmark-Zypher Cove)-Beautiful 35 minute drive away. Signed up for the online special: $49 beginners package (includes, 2.5 hour lesson, equipment and lift tickets to the easy runs). We (2A, 2 teens 13/14Y) had never skied before, so it was well worth the price. note: to put things in perspective, I am tentative by nature,... More

We love the friendly staff at Sierra. We've been going for years, and have experienced many wonderful days at Sierra. It can get crowded at the lower lifts, and the food service tends to take a really long time, but the views from the top of Grandview can't be beat. Good snowboarding parks. The beginner adult lesson package is a... More

Went 3/23/16. Snow was perfect, staff was extremely positive, no crowds. Amazing for a spring break week. Parking was convenient. My son took a snow board lesson. Extremely affordable- $49 for 2.5 hr lesson and rental.

Have been coming here for years, although there was no Tripadvisor the last time I visited over 8 years ago. This time I bought my discount passes at Costco and off I went! Love to go on the week and miss the weekend crowds and they also have a shuttle service in South Lake Tahoe that picks you up at... More

Sierra-at-Tahoe is the perfect place for beginners and intermediate skiers. The prices for lift tickets and lessons are reasonable and there are plenty of trails to explore. I was extremely satisfied with the lessons when we have certified instructors and they pay very good attention to the students even in a class setting of 5-10 people. However, once we happened... While we stay in South Lake Tahoe near the Village, we prefer to ski at Sierra-at-Tahoe because of their many expansive green and blue runs. They just (last year) put in several million dollars in upgrading their facilities which make it easier to enjoy the day there.

Spent three days skiing with friends. Everyone I encountered was top notch. From the moment I walked into the rental area until I returned my equipment, I was greeted by friendly, helpful employees. By my third day skiing, employees greeted me by name. The skiing was decent. Something for everyone at all skill levels. I started easy and by the... More

I spent a couple of days in Tahoe and decided to go skiing at Sierra. I had a great day but I was so shocked how expensive it was!! I only usually ski in Europe and the price of this resort is outrageous, especially compared to the few slopes and lifts there are. I liked that they have free shuttles... More

I highly recommend this ski resort. All the staff is very nice and friendly. The ski and snowboarding instructors are very good. Prices are comparable to other ski resorts. I liked the huge area used for kid lessons. I really enjoyed my time there and, more importantly, so did my kids! There is staff constantly cleaning and entertainment on Saturday... More
