Always a great experience! Dusty is the best!! Always a good trip with him ... always! Regardless of weather conditions, Dusty has the experience and attitude to make it a good time ... fun but safe, and always hits the picture spots.

We booked the 10AM tour for a 2 hour scenic snowmobile tour. As complete rookies, we were a little nervous--but that quickly went away as our guide, Ronan, explained how to ride the snowmobile and all the basics. It's about 12 miles each way and got a little bit long for our kids (nearly 5 & 8), but the back country is gorgeous and we stopped several times for photo ops and the incredible views of the Tahoe Basin. Any skill level can do this trip and the guides were very good about pacing the group so everyone had room to go at their own pace but also stay together on the trails. It is pretty exhilarating once you get the hang of it! We felt like we were in a video game zipping along. The bikes are not too loud and they handle well. Super winter activity and both of our guides (Ronan and Cary) were really knowledgable, helpful, and super patient with our kids. We had a fabulous time as a family! Highly recommend!! *Note--if you are going with small kids, there is no way for them to be strapped on to the snowmobile--they just have to hang on to you through the bumps and turns!

I've been on many snowmobile tours and any time there's been a rider or riders who were not able to keep up with the entire group, the trailing guide would take on the responsibility of making sure that these riders would not slow down the group. However, the trailing guide was not familiar with the course and therefore unable to take care of the one rider who caused the group to continously stop throughout the entire tour. It's very upsetting to spend that much money when the guides were not prepared for such a common occurrence. The person in question rolled her snowmobile twice and was a danger to herself. The guides should have taken charge.

Beware this horrendous place that could cost you significantly more money than you planned for. TLDR: I was charged $200 for "damage" that wasn't my fault after almost getting injured riding one fo their snowmobiles.

The longer story: I was thrown onto an old snowmobile and almost got hurt because the snowmobile toppled over because it couldn't withstand basic snow bumps that our tour guides brought us to. When I returned, they realized the windshield had broken and charged me $200. Not only is this outrageous because it's much more expensive than what it actually costs (attached), but they showed no sympathy or empathy. They were actually mean, kept throwing the waiver in my face, and telling me it was entirely my fault. When I mentioned I could've gotten seriously injured, they just told me I took all liability in the waiver. So glad to be giving my money to people who don't care at all about my well being because they're not legally liable- hooray!

I looked back at the waiver and there's a tiny little paragraph at the end that holds you liable for damages at a "cost determined by the company" - see attached for their cost sheet that wasn't shown at time of the waiver. Not only are these prices egregious, these items that might not even be your fault for being damaged might be thrown into your bill and they make it impossible for you to defend.

The tour guides were incredibly nice. The cruel owners and expensive after charge and almost getting hurt makes this not worth it. I've done tours with Tahoe Snowmobiles and North Tahoe Winter Adventures and loved them. Would recommend them instead

My wife and I took a two-hour group tour, and doubled up on the snowmobile. The machine worked great and it was really easy to operate. We were able to take turns driving and both really enjoyed the whole experience.

We were glad we rode double on one machine instead of each of us getting our own. It was a lot cheaper and we both still had plenty of driving time. The two-your group tour was definitely great value.

The guides were professional and friendly and made the whole tour a great experience.

We had 2 families - total of 8 people- enjoy a private afternoon tour. Everyone was over 18. Our guides were helpful, fun and let us set the pace. I would highly recommend this group to anyone. One thing to note - we had 4 single snowmobiles and 2 doubles. If we did it again, I would only do single. The double makes it harder to turn and control. This in no way is a reflection on Coldstream, just an observation after the ride (we made the choice).

We found Coldstream Adventures online and booked online as well. Super easy to book and received confirmations and reminders, etc. The directions to the meeting point were clear and the company was very well organized. Once we arrived, we were told where to park, and where to sign in. We were given instructions on the use of the snowmobiles. The guides were all super friendly. The trails were beautiful and the outlooks amazing! We highly recommend.

Wow, we had so much fun! As a family of four, who love nature, ride dirt bikes, don't like crowds, and enjoy everything about the outdoors, this was such a perfect experience for our first time on snowmobiles. Our guide, Wolf, was so accommodating to our needs: wild males who are accustomed to sliding out on motorcycles but not used to muscling snowmobiles out of a snowdrift, a family who wants to ride in the powder through trees that includes a Mom (me) who has less skill and much less testosterone . Wolf guided us through beautiful powder terrain and kept an eye out for the mischievous one that deviated from the trail that he clearly told EVERYONE to follow. Thank you so much for your patience, Wolf. You are a true professional, plus fun to be around!

This place is managed very well. The staff is very friendly but want to make sure everyone is safe while having fun. Wolfe and Wyatt were our guides and it was exciting. We were able to go fast and felt safe at the same time. We took time to stop and take beautiful pictures. My 65 year old mother wants to already come back next year. Highly recommend this company, good knowledge of the trails and equipment was working great. Thank you Coldstream group.
