I've been on many snowmobile tours and any time there's been a rider or riders who were not able to keep up with the entire group, the trailing guide would take on the responsibility of making sure that these riders would not slow down the group. However, the trailing guide was not familiar with the course and therefore unable to take care of the one rider who caused the group to continously stop throughout the entire tour. It's very upsetting to spend that much money when the guides were not prepared for such a common occurrence. The person in question rolled her snowmobile twice and was a danger to herself. The guides should have taken charge.

Always a great experience! Dusty is the best!! Always a good trip with him ... always! Regardless of weather conditions, Dusty has the experience and attitude to make it a good time ... fun but safe, and always hits the picture spots.

Do NOT rent from this outfit. It is a Zero rating but would not allow me to do as such. You sign a waiver and they do not offer insurance and automatically upon incident decide your machine is totaled and charge immediately $5000 to my husband's card after one of us hit a tree. The guide did not have satisfactory first aid basics (actually two guides) and my son and husband had to make splints out of tree branches and duct tape. They claimed they are taking the machine to an authorized dealer and it will be at least $5000 to fix. You signed the paperwork is all "Larry' kept saying. He had a very canned answer, frame is $2500 and 36 hours worth of work and will at least be $5000 if not more. PLEASE use a reputable company that provides insurance.

This was my first time snowmobiling and I was super apprehensive initially. But with a bit of coaxing and guidance from the fabulous guides, I felt more confident and enjoyed myself. Big THANK YOU to Ben for his kindness in offering me his hand warmers to wear. Also thank you to Margaret and Max for their hospitality throughout. It was a wonderful experience for my husband and me.

What a GREAT adventure! None of us (me, my wife, or our two teenagers) had ever been snowmobiling. We decided to give it a go, and booked with Coldstream on the phone. Kerry was most helpful, and we selected a two-hour tour. Once arrived, we received a short, but informative safety talk, and then we were off! Our guide, Frank, took us along groomed trails, open meadows of fresh powder, and to lookouts that offer incomparable vistas of the Sierras. Frank is a most knowledgable, friendly, and highly-skilled guide; we truly enjoyed the conversations. And his expertise kept us safe and delivered maximum exhiliration. All of us had a blast! Thank you, Kerry, Larry, Wolf, and especially, Frank! Would highly recommend Coldstream. We will be back!

I would not recommend this snowmobile tour to anybody. First, we did not feel safe because the snowmobile is jumpy and it is difficult to control its speed; second, the guides were going too fast, although we did tell her to slow down, and we almost flipped over when going through curved paths; third, we inhale the exhaust from all snowmobiles for a good 2.5 hours and suffered through the terrible noises that they generated; also, for inexperienced drivers, it is unsafe on unfenced path going through ravines; there were no explanations on nature or whatsoever, like we heard from friends; before we started the tour at about 2:00 PM, we asked the staff when taxi should pick us up, were told at 5:00 in case there are accidents along the way and the whole group gets delayed! one person in our group hit a tree! Sure enough, we returned to the base just after 4:00 and had to wait for our taxi in the cold for more than 1/2 hour. Staff not professional.

Group of eight went on this New Years Eve adventure and really enjoyed it. Trip did not have a great start as we had a misunderstanding as to the timing. Confirmation said 12:15, so we assumed if we got there by 12pm we would be good. Owner called at 11:45 and told us that we were going to miss our trip since we were not there by 11:15, this is my only complaint of the trip, if they need us an hour early, it should say that on the confirmation, however, everything worked out. When we got to the trail we were met by our guide "Thor." He told us not to stress that he would get us going and up the mountain. He quickly processed our paperwork and we were on our way. He was very knowledgeable took us through the forest up through the peaks to the summit. He stopped at different spots to take pictures and showed us the different views. The trip went a bit longer than expected, which was appreciated. I really could be complimentary to our guide. Everything worked out great and we enjoyed the experience. We had two children, four middle age adults and two grandparents and all had fun. One suggestion for those going, make sure to bring hand warmers, it gets really cold.

From the guides to the snow we couldn't have scripted a better day. Sun, deep snow and and plenty of speed...great time and highly recommended.

So my wife and I were celebrating our 27th anniversary (give you an idea of our age). We have never been on a snowmobile. I did some research and heard good things about Coldstream. We got there late due to a road closing and our guide (G) could have been nicer. He took his time, explained everything clearly and he paid attention to my wife as he could tell she wasn't feeling too confident riding this thing by herself. He then proceeded to guide us through the most exciting and beautiful fun-tour we have had in...I can’t remember. My wife is fairly cautious but he slowly got her to take little steps and by the end of the tour, not only did we see some amazing sites and wildlife as well but those snowmobiles knew they were ridden hard. If they were horses, they’d be put away "tired and wet". We had such a good time, our guide goes by "G". I guess it stands for "Greatest snow guide in the world". He truly cared that we were able to experience everything; sights, learn how to ride, run them as fast as we were comfortable and gently let us know we would be ok if we wanted to be a bit aggressive. We went through trails, up and down some great sloped areas, went through fresh powder and made our own trails. JUST AMAZING!!! Thank you soooo much G for making that two hours soooo much fun. We will not forget that ever and I hope to be back with our adult kids next year!

We were in the Squaw Valley area on our 3 week holiday from the UK. This snowmobiling tour was fantastic, it has been the most fun that I had on our holiday. Max was a really nice guy plus a fantastic tour guide, he was very knowledgable and helpful. It was very good value for money, would recommend. The area you cover is vast.

For the most part. We traveled as a group for a short time and then broke into two until we came together in the grove.
