Peaceful Stroll
Jun 2016 • Couples
Small cemetery to stroll and read the older gravestones. This won’t compare to some of the older cemeteries of New England, but the history is still interesting in its own wild-west type of way. I would suggest visiting the Old Truckee Jail first to get a little history lesson and then visit the cemetery to seek out the familiar family names of Truckee generations.

Truckee's cemetary
Aug 2013 • Solo
At the top and end of Jiboom Street in old downtown Truckee is the Sierra Mountain Cemetary. It's a pleasant place that dates back to the late 1800's. Many veterans remains are there including 13 that date back to the Civil War.

About average
Aug 2012 • Couples
As a lover of old cemeteries this one was about average. Of more interest, just below the road leading up to the Sierra Mountain, there is another smaller and unmarked cemetery worth seeing.
