Close, but not the best.

I have been skiing for over 40 years and one of the ski areas that I went to was Boreal. Why, because it was the closest, quickest, easiest, and cheapest places to ski. Not much... read more

This was the best tubing place that I remember experiencing. The shutes were fast with a nice moving sidewalk and no lines. Unfortunately, some of the staff clearly didn't want to be there but others were upbeat and friendly. The restrooms in the lodge were disgusting, even when I went back 2 hours later. Parking is $20 unless you purchase... More

Just off I-80, Boreal no doubt is experiencing record crowds due to the massive snowfall Tahoe is experiencing this winter. However, be ready to wait for rental equipment, as the kids running the place are still figuring out how to manage the crowds. I give them credit for thinking on the fly however. Lines were long, and some of the... More

I have been skiing for over 40 years and one of the ski areas that I went to was Boreal. Why, because it was the closest, quickest, easiest, and cheapest places to ski. Not much has changed over the years. It's location off of I-80 means that it is usually the quickest and easiest to get to, especially when we... More

Excellent day at Boreal. Surprisingly uncrowded on a $15 Friday. Very helpful staff. Opened up Cedar so we could get some freshies. Party all the way

I was driving to SF and my girlfriend wanted to ski for the 2nd time in her life. So I thought Boreal would be the ideal place. But despite the wonderful weather and snow on the previous days, the staff did everything they could to ruin the day. From the rude rental staff (which is definitely overpriced) to those by... More

Hadn't been skiing in a while went of Martin Luther King holiday. The lessons for my family were great! It stays open until 9 pm so we definitely got our money's worth and the lines were not too bad at all. Had a wonderful time. Rental process was fast and smooth. When we left at 7pm the traffic to the... More

So a little expensive ($44 for 90 minutes), but the runs are long and well maintained, very safe, and there is a lift to the top. Also, book ahead and save $20 on parking.

This ski resort has three different levels for all kinds of people. I took the training as well and was able to ski a bit in two days. Overall a fun experience.

Boreal Mountain is the best! It may not be the biggest of the resorts around the lake, but It has so much to offer. The people there are all so friendly and positive and the variety of terrain is amazing. You can ride from 9 to 9 so even if you work all day, you can still take a couple... More

Decided to take my Grand daughter tubing on Boreal Ridge Ski Resort on Christmas Day. And so did a whole lot of other people. As we drove in to park our car, we discovered parking is $20 per vehicle but if you purchase your ski tickets online, your Parking fee is free. Go figure!! We were there only to slide... More
