You guys please be so careful when selecting HeliTahoe. This guy Riccardo Surrente scammed me with a prepaid tour. They simply did not arrive to the airport to pick me up; no mails; no refund; no nothing. A really bad experience. For more reference, you can visit the Tahoe Airport tour operators office.

Last review done makes no sense. We planned trip via Viator. Called and set flight time 1 week prior. Hotel valet mess up made us 35 minutes late, Glenn(think his name) was more than accommodating and reset us for flight after very short wait. What a nice thing to do. Pilot Eli(again think his name), was so awesome and nice. They both went the extra mile and my wife and I enjoyed a beautiful flight over Tahoe. Will do again!!! Must do!!!

Since we operate in the Sierras we have to accommodate and reschedule flights on a frequent basis, so accommodating to the needs of our guests is a breeze as well as our first priority. We booked online 4 days in advance thru Viator. The day was open according to the online calendar. However, they never specified a time. We called repeatedly and left messages, but no one responded. When I tried to cancel online (over 24 hours in advance and within the cancelation policy) we were still charged $340. We went to the airport the day before to get our refund or to get a scheduled time. We were told by another company that they were shut down due to a crash. They were not in operation. We are trying to get our refund by disputing the charge via American Express.

Hello, my name is Ian, I’m with HeliTahoe. I’m sorry to hear about your experience with us, and I hope the issue has been resolved. If not we can dicuss getting you back on the schedule or reimbursement if you prefer that. We continue to operate with absolute safety in mind, as we have for over 15 years. I would like to clarify some of the specifics in regards to the accident. The accident occurred during a test flight on a new aircraft, which was to be used for advanced flight training. The accident was caused by what is believed to have been a mechanical failure in the rotor system. This failure was undetectable and the incident is currently under investigation for manufacturers defect. One of the individuals on board was our chief pilot and the other was one of our owners, collectively they have over 19,000 hours of flight time. Both pilots suffered no long term injuries and have recovered 100%. Safety is our number one priority, so upon receipt of a new aircraft we conduct rigorous and thorough testing.
