2nd time visiting SkydiveCA and it was an absolute blast. Experience was amazing, I really can’t complement this place enough for how professional, friendly, fun, and safe they are. I want to extend a huge thank you to Ryan “RPM” and Bernardo for jumping with us and the photo/videographers for their amazing work.

Reserved a slot for me and my friends with videos and stills! Price is worth it! We all have a very professional sky divers even the photographer jumping with you is really nice. Some of them is jumping for more than 10 years 🤘🏼 Kudos to my team! For this wonderful experience!!!

We went to Skydive CA for a friend's birthday. Several of us had never sky dived (or really considered jumping out of a plane) and the team at Skydive were amazing. My jumping team (Owen - instructor and RPM - photographer) were great and put me at ease despite my nervousness. Owen explained what would happen, when to expect it and then reinforced any of the instructions along the way. I would highly recommend getting photographs and video as I can say that having both is a great way to memorialize the jump and it turns out, is a fairly good advertisement for those of my friends that were considering it. They may just come along for the next jump. RPM took great pictures and in fact the in-air shot is now my FB cover photo. Thanks again to the whole team at Skydive CA.

Searching for a location to experience the thrill of skydiving can be a stressful experience. Luckily in the SF bay area we have a number of great drop zones to choose from. During my progression from doing a tandem skydive to pursuing my skydiving license I tried out most of these locations and settled on Skydive California to take my AFF course after a lot of research and deliberation. Here is why I highly recommend them...
1. Friendliness/Putting New Jumpers at Ease: While every drop zone I have jumped at in the area has prioritized customer safety (especially for tandem jumpers), this place BY FAR gives the warmest welcome and does a great job at alleviating the first-time jitters. Everyone there is so incredibly friendly and there is a very welcoming vibe that just makes the experience that much better. I have brought first-time jumpers here and they have felt extremely comfortable. The entire process is very well-explained, the tandem instructors are extremely knowledgeable and professional, and I have never seen some of the inappropriate joking with students that is common at other drop zones. While I appreciate and enjoy that sense of humor, other people have told me that it made their experience uncomfortable. In addition, the owner is probably one of the nicest people I have ever met. He treats his staff well, communicates in a warm and professional manner, and handles stressful situations (like weather delays, unforeseen events, etc) with grace and an optimistic attitude. My wife - who has jumped tandem with me at a few other drop zones - told me that if she could do her first jump over again that she would choose Skydive California. I completely agree with her!
2. Safety: As an experienced aviator, nurse, and generally risk-averse person safety is paramount to me. It is very rare when I find people in any situation who I feel take safety seriously enough. However, the staff at this drop zone are EXTREMELY safety-conscious. The first thing that I noticed was how strict they are about their traffic pattern. It is very important that people are not trying to land from all different directions. Unfortunately, this can become a problem at some drop zones. The landing area at Skydive California is very well set up in a manner that avoids confusion and the landing pattern is strictly enforced. I truly feel like I can predict where other skydivers will be and this goes a long way in avoiding accidents. The instructors are also very on-point. None of them look like they have had a "long night" and I have never seen them skip steps. Weather calls are very conservative and people feel comfortable speaking up if they feel there is an unsafe condition. I would consider myself an expert in risk-mitigation and I can honestly say that this is the most safety-conscious skydiving environment I have seen in the area.
3. AFF Program: After an extensive search, I believe Skydive California's AFF program (the program to earn your skydiving license) to be the best value in the area. Their A-Licence package is all-inclusive without any extra or hidden fees and includes gear rental, includes a repeat of one of the stages (can be redeemed for other services if you don't need it), and is still competitively priced against less-inclusive programs. The instruction is second-to-none and the learning environment is warm, friendly, and encouraging. The landing area is very easy to find from the air and as stated previously the landing pattern is very straight-forward and regimented. Scheduling is also great here, as you can schedule an AFF first-jump class any day that they are open! I have also done AFF jumps here on a week day where I was the only student in the plane. Other drop zones will make you wait for a tandem so they can maximize profit and waiting on the ground on a clear day with good winds is a real bummer!!! Skydive California has a lot of good competition for AFF programs in this area, but in my opinion this is the place to go. The owner was supportive when I told him that I was checking out a few other programs and even spoke well of his competition... How often do you see that?!
Summary: If you are looking for a beginner-friendly drop zone to do your first tandem or earn your skydiving license in the bay area, this is your spot. It is very professional, friendly, safe, and a great value. The instructors are top notch and the vibe is very cool and welcoming. While I recommend checking out all of the amazing drop zones in our area (why just skydive once?!), this one is definitely my favorite!

Skydive California’s staff were very professional the equipment was great they were very helpful and easy to work with the instructors were great and made sure i knew everything i needed to know before i jumped the experience was unbelievable and was a memory i won’t forget also highly recommend paying the extra for the photos and videos they were very good quality and it was super cool to fly next to someone else will be returning soon

For a first time tandem skydive it is $155 for 10k feet or $185 for 13k feet. Definitely a fantastic value for an incredible and safe experience!
