Worst customer service and poor machine performance. I rented a Can Am Maverick X3 for 3 hours with the early bird special. While returning along the beach the machine threw a belt. My buddy towed us back in and we were informed that the repairs would be $600 because we did not purchase the insurance. While renting the vehicle we were told that we had to place a $2500 deposit on the vehicle because insurance was not available. The staff was accusatory and rude when told of the problem with their equipment. Buyer beware... you will have to pay for normal wear and tear on the machine you rent.

We booked 3 ATV's online and went the next day to ride. We arrived 45 minutes early, but when we got there there was a desk outside that said "Check In" there was no one there, nor was there ever. We went inside to see if we could check in and there were two lines , with several people waiting. We were told only one line was for rentals, and the other for sales. When we had waited quite a long time in the rental line, when they opened up the other line for rentals and instead of moving folks forward based on how long they had been in line they just had people in the back move up and check in before everyone else that had been waiting much longer. When we finally were checked in we watched the long safety video, and waited in line to get the machines. We were supposed to leave at 12:30 pm, but it was 1:15 pm before we finally were getting the machines, then had to wait for them to get them started. We mentioned the long delay in getting out and everyone just kept saying "no refunds, no refunds," like a bunch of squawking parrots. We rented two Honda 400ex machines and one Can-Am 450. My Honda wouldn't idle and the guy said it "just needed to warm up." We left and I soon noticed my Honda would never idle it would just die if you didn't stay on the throttle. The other Honda would not start without push starting it. The Can-Am ran fine, but the cowl holding the speedometer came off and we had to get it back on a couple of times. Both of us on the Honda machines soon realized the suspension was worn out and you could feel every pebble on the trails, needless to say it beat the crap out of us, and between the malfunctions, on the machines, their poor condition and the completely disorganized check in process, I would definitely NOT recommend Steve's ATV rental to anyone.

We rented a 2 seat 900rzr. We drove it about 30 minutes out into the desert and it started to back fire and and stall. We couldn't make it back to rental place so they came out to rescue us and swapped out our UTV with a different one. That took about 45 minutes of our rental time. We started to drive the different UTV and the same thing started to happen about 30 minutes into the ride on that one. It kept stalling. As we climbed hills it would stall and also it would just randomly stall. We would have to shut it off, let it sit for a minute and try to get it started back up. This was a major safety concern as we could have been hit by someone else when we were stalled in the middle of a trail on a blind spot. It stalled at least 30 times as we tired to make our way back to rental location. At this point we had no interested in trying a different UTV for fear for our safety and out of complete frustration. We spent close tor $500 to ride and expected to have a safe running machine. We were only offered a voucher to ride another time. I would not rent there again so I declined the voucher. The owner refuses to give refunds for any reason, even if it is there fault so beware. The Staff working there is wonderful and is the only reason I gave it 2 stars.

Came in to inquire about a side by side. Plenty of choices they cary everything. I was in town camping with friends couple miles away and Decided to rent a side by side. Paperwork was quick and easy and getting set up was a breeze. They go over everything you need to know and were very helpful. Would definitely recommend this place

We had a great time today with Steve's ATV Rentals. Serena at the front desk was funny and helpful--very friendly. Dylan was terrific getting us set up on the quad ATVs, answering our questions, doing a thorough pre-ride inspection and being friendly. We signed up for 2 hours with the option to stay for 4 hours. It is hard to do these beautiful trails justice with just two hours, so we highly recommend 4 hours (that was the perfect amount of time for our group--my thumb was getting tired at the end. You gotta make sure you check out the Pumpkin Patch--really great hills and "moguls" to try for the adventurous ATV riders and a perfect mid-point stop with restrooms and shaded picnic area. This reserve is HUGE and EMPTY--over 125 square miles. It was over 100 degrees, but we wore shorts and the breeze from the ride kept us cool enough. We saw more lizards (about a dozen) than people (only 2) on our entire journey. The map the provide is pretty good--we got lost once but it wasn't a big deal and it added to the adventure. Will definitely come back! Highly recommend Steve's ATV Rentals
