This happened to be our first stop in our ventures out in Templeton / Paso Robles. We really enjoyed every wine that happened to be on their tasting card that day. We generally prefer reds over whites, but their whites were simply fantastic and even better they were having a half off sale, so we did what anyone else would do...walked out with a case! what, we should've bought 2 cases? you're probably right!

You have probably never heard of this winery unless you are from Paso and are very knowledgeable of "the who's who in wine making." check out their site to understand why the wines are so good. We have never had a bottle of wine we didn't LOVE and the price point is right up our alley.Hope you have a chance to experience how great they are!

We stopped to try their Malbec and were not disappointed. While it was not on the tasting list for that day, a bottle was opened for us. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed all of their wines. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly and only too happy to please us. It turned out to be a good visit and we look forward to enjoying our purchase.

What a wonderful experience! Awesome service with a very personal touch. The staff was extremely educated about their wine and the surrounding vineyards. The wine was just perfect. This area is noted for the red wines, but the white wines were a pleasant surprise. The winemaker, Neil Roberts, had a great selection of both reds and whites. If anyone is looking for the complete wine tasting
G experience, Clavo cellars is a must.

These are some of the best wines for the price. We ordered a bottle at a restaurant and it was so good we joined their club. We love BIG reds and their whites are good too.

If you'd been to Templeton, you know it is small, but has some outstanding wineries in the area, and some very good restaurants.

Add Clavo to your list of places to visit. It is a small, urban tasting room, complete with friendly dogs, and friendly people. The winemakers obviously love their jobs and make very nice, tasty wines, at reasonable prices. Having a place to sit is an added bonus.

Stopped in here a while back and had a very nice time in this tasting room.
It was a week day and I was the only one in the tasting room.
The room is nicely set up. They actually have stools so you can sit at the bar rather than stand, as most other tasting rooms.
The story of how the name "Clavo" came about is interesting and humorous.
I would recommend this tasting room while wine tasting in the Paso Robles, Atascadero, and Templeton area.
