Zin Alley is still the best Zinfandel for a thousand miles. Frank knows more about Zinfandel, how to grow it, how to tend the vines, and any other aspect of wine you can think of. As a Zinfandel wine encyclopedia he is world class. Get this man talking about the vines and the wine and it is mesmerizing and oh... More

This is a nice winery, and the wines taste great at the winery, but I recently opened up a wine I bought back in 2009, and it had turned. The wine was horrible tasting. I have a temperature and climate controlled professional wine cellar. I put the wine in a Reidel decanter and let it breathe for 3 hours. The... More

My countless visit to this place was no less distinctive; Frank is a master of Zinfandel, who manages subtly and nuance with a usually bold, fruit forward varietal. His 2013 is a remarkable effort and should age beautifully considering how amazing his 2012 and 2011 are. Cellar these puppies or better yet, buy one to cellar and one to drink.... More

Small winery. The vines never receive any water. The 5 wines were all great. All bottles cost $47.00. Loved the winemaker's attitude about his wines. Will return.

Great chat with the owner/farmer/winemaker. This place is a gem because this man is doing it the right way... small lot farming with a passion for creating great wines!

Visited the winery while on vacation. We were greeted warmly and the wine was excellent. Throughly enjoyed the drive and We plan to visit again next year. Recommend this winery to anyone that appreciates growers that don't use pesticides and keep the grapes organic.

He's a hell of a guy and his wines prove his excellence. You won't be unhappy that you stopped to see this tiny spot.

Frank makes the most fantastic wine if you love zin and you love good zin. Perfect paso flavor. 2011 was a fantastic year...can't wait for 2012 to be released. Frank is a great guy, knowledgable and enjoyable to talk to, an honor to know.

For the past decade or so we've traveled to the Paso Robles area twice a year to visit their excellent wineries. This area is well known for producing some of the finest red wines, and the climate is particularly well-suited to growing Zinfandel grapes. Frank, the owner of ZinAlley, doesn't advertise his winery so we didn't visit it until May... More
