About
Bella Luna is a small, family-owned, and operated winery specializing in dry-farmed, hand-picked vineyards from the Central Coast. For the past 24 years, Bella Luna has produced terroir-driven wines with a minimalistic approach to winemaking. The wines are fermented using indigenous yeasts from the vineyard and are not fined or filtered. Our focus is on single-vineyard, small batch production of Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Tocai Friulano, Arneis, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zinfandel. The Estate Vineyard and Winery are both a backyard and playground for the third generation, so everything used in both locations is safe to consume, not only for humans but our four-legged friends as well. "You can make bad wine from good grapes, but you can't make good wine from bad grapes." - Kevin Healey, Owner.

    Wine tasting at Bella Luna
This is our groups number one Winery to visit. Nicole and her husband make this fun and educational. They have some of the top wines available. It is a sit-down with family. I could not ask for a better tasting. Their wines include Fighter Pilot Red, Rotor Head Red, and Estate Riserva to name a few. We love this winery.

Bella Luna a must visit on your wine tasting route.
Had a lovely experience yesterday at Bella Luna. The winemaker was a fountain of knowledge and very personable. The wines were delicious, especially the Barbera. I brought a few bottles home. This lovely tasting room should definitely be a stop on your wine tasting route.

Friendly Family Winery with Great Wines!
We love Bella Luna! They not only make the most wonderful wines, but strive to establish personal relationships with their regular patrons & members. The grounds are lovely and the large patio used for events is beautiful and comfortable. We spent a long time trying the then very few Sangioveses in the Central Coast area and then discovered Bella Luna - our search ended right there. Happily, their other varietals are just as magnificent! We also appreciate their ongoing commitment to dry farming and to the support of families of fighter pilots in need.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support, Donna! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoy our wines and the atmosphere at our Bella Luna Estate Winery. It's wonderful to hear that you appreciate our commitment to dry farming and supporting important causes. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon! Cheers

A fantastic find. We came to Bella Luna a couple of years ago and brought a group of 11 back with us because we loved it. We ended up getting 3 wine club memberships. Their wine Fighter Pilot Red and Rotor Head Red are great wines. This place is so much fun to do a tasting. It is a family owned Winery that the family takes care of it all. Nicholas ran out tasting and did an expert job. You cannot miss visiting this winery and we will be back.

I have been visiting Bella Luna a few times a year for 8 or 9 years now. The first time I visited I was so blown away by the Super Tuscan that I bought a bottle and signed up for their wine club. This is a family owned boutique winery concentrating on Italian varietals. Every time I visit, there is a new wine or experience to surprise me. Kevin and Sherman created this place out of their passion for Italian wines and enjoying it with their family and friends. The second generation is now taking what was already good to great! Take the time to explore the vineyards with Jimmy, the second gen winemaker, and chat with his wife Shelly while you are tasting. To me, the stories make the wine and the experience a real step above the rest.

If you are looking for small production Italian varietals, this is the place to visit. Family owned and operated, producing small lots of BIG flavorful wines. I love the Sangiovese Grosso! Big, bold, beautiful, and ready to pair with any red sauce or BBQ'd steak. Truly friendly folks running this place. Stop in some time for a taste and take a few bottle with you. Support these small places that make wonderful wines.

I LOVE Italian varietals so I stopped by Saturday afternoon. You get fully engrossed in the wine making process while in the tasting room. Wine, grapes, fruit flies, and workers coming and going. I loved it. Usually the wine making process is off site or not close to the tasting room but while tasting at Bella Luna you are in it.
It is the definition of family run winery. Everyone does their part for the business. It’s always enjoyable having a conversation with the actual people that have a hand in making the wines. Their wines are amazing. The property does have a Tuscan Villa vibe which is very nice and welcoming. Very easy winery to get to in Templeton. If you love Italian wines or just wine Bella Luna is a must visit.

We enjoyed wine tasting at Bella Luna. Every wine was excellent! They really know how to blend the flavors just right to get that Italian flavor. Can't wait to share some bottles with friends! The decor is simple and practical. For me, it's all about the wine!

Bella Luna....Beautiful Moon
Beautiful wines as well !! A trio of us visited Sherman in his tasting room and we had such a good time. Sherman has led quite an exciting life. We had the pleasure of drinking some of the best Barbera ever !! His Tempranillo was so very good that I had to take a bottle home. Do not come here without tasting his Zin !! Two beautiful Zins with two different personalities and both require you to take them home !! Do not miss out on an afternoon with Sherman and his sidekick Captain !!
