I live about two hours from Temecula and go up there once or twice a year for wine tasting, so this review is a combination of those experiences. This winery has great tastings, and the pours are not light. I am a member, so not sure about the cost. Members get great discounts though, as a side note, and they... More

We used to go to Mount Palomar on a regular basis for picnics and wine tasting. We hadn't been in ages though and went back to visit. It was completely different! One of the wine stewards told us that they had had a fire and had to rebuild. The tasting room is now at the front, on the left, as... More

Thank you for stopping by, we're always happy to have previous visitors come back for another visit. We did have to rebuild the front area after a fire damaged the building, and we're happy to hear that you liked the results. I have good news for you! The Solera Cream Sherry is back in stock, and it's still produced in... More

The winery site is very picturesque. The winery was fairly empty when we arrived on a weekday afternoon. As we had visited other places that afternoon I was really only interested in having a bite to eat. Selections we fairly good but service was very lacking, very slow, to the point of almost not ordering . And it took some... More

For the price, the wine tasting followed by a lunch overlooking the vineyard is why we return to Mt Palomar winery every time. The risotto and meat tray are the two things we usually always order with a bottle of any of their good wines.

This place is amazing and our experience was truly memorable! We were greeted by Terry, who, along with Lauren, gave us a wonderful experience with treasured friends. Terry was great! He was very knowledgeable about wine and the history of winemaking at Mt Palomar. A wonderful time was had by all. I recommend a visit to Mt Palomar, one of... More

Just because you CAN grow wine grapes doesn't mean you SHOULD make wine, and nowhere is this more evident than Temecula, California. I know I sound like the worst wine snob imaginable, but let's get real: the wine here is basically junk. Wineries seem to be making money by selling a wine that should sell for no more than $3... Hello - Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a thorough review. We're glad that you enjoyed the service, had fun, felt like a valued customer, and that you considered the wine pouring so generous. We work hard to try to provide the best possible customer service, and we're glad you enjoyed the results. We are sorry... More

There were two options for tasting, in a dark but cool wine room or at an outdoor bar. Glasses of wine may be purchased and sit and sipped in a beautiful setting. All the wineries in the area are pricey to me but they let you split a tasting with a friend.
