If you ever wanted to step back into what modern man thinks 1886 was like, then this is your kind of place.

This quaint Main Street in Temecula has a few of each of what you would find on most main streets, including a candy store, a soap shop, a psychic, the old bank that is now a Mexican place, a bar that has all stand up arcade machines and what seems to be a self proclaimed largest country music venue on the west coast.

It’s a great place to visit in the winter months cause the summers are brutal in Temecula. Oh and you can see the first jail for this town there too. Pretty cool.

It is a must to visit this place. We ate twice at 1909 Restaurant. Great place, very cozy and active. Be sure to make reservations.

Mad Madeline’s for the best hamburger and French fries. We’ve been there twice now on both of our short 3-day trip up to a Pechanga RV Resort. We’ll always go back there for our “budget fix”

A short few blocks right off the freeway and good for a walk to stretch your legs or get a bite to eat. Plenty of fun restaurants and bars. Many boutique shops to peek into. Street parking can be difficult, especially on weekends. There is a large parking garage a block off the main street.

Quaint town with nice atmosphere. Great proximity to 40+ vineyards. Lots of good restaurants and a few shops all in the center of town. Shops have a variety of hours and several were closed when we arrived mid afternoon. Easy walking. Parking could be a problem during busy times.

Okay, so it is filled with tourists and things you don't need to buy and over priced stuff, but it is fun in the middle of sort of nowhere to find a nice place to walk and enjoy the sites. There are some great places to eat, skip the wine, it is not great, never was.

What is a tad disturbing is that no one has seemed to get the memo that you should wear a mask--gee--stay away from me. I think this place is pretty conservative so I am not surprised, but I am disappointed.

The area is large enough to spend a few hours and try to go later in the day because it can get so very hot, try winter. We love love the restaurants there, they have it all from breakfast, to some great seafood. So, if for nothing else go there for dinner. It is fun and try not to buy too much junk you will never need. have fun.

There were a lot of good restaurants along the strip. We walked the strip midday which is not wise while in Temecula because it's toasty! Many of the restaurants had misting systems in the outdoor seating area. Very cute area, will be visiting again.

The Old Town is authentic as it shared the history of the Califorina Gold Rush and a number of buildings have been preserved. It is filled with interesting boutiques, an amazing farmers market on Saturdays, fine and casual dining as well as numerous venues with live music. Temecula is a very special place. Visit it, you won't be disappointed!

Temecula has an excellent Old Town section that is littered with restaurants and niche shops. Some places have 'mist' valves set up to keep it cooler, but I recommend going on a cool day. 3-digit days are better spent at the beach in Oceanside or Carlsbad.

Parking can be a challenge, so it would be good to go earlier in the day. The evening rocks with busy pub traffic, and extremely slow street traffic.
