We received a groupon to this place for my wife's birthday that gave us free tasting and a bottle of wine. This place has a nice area outside where you can overlook the back road hills and drink your wine. The guy that served us was able to help one couple on the inside and us on the outside because they have a window that you can get your wine through if you choose to look at the wonderful scenery. After sitting outside with out first wine, we had to listen to the guy talk trash on all of the wine users that use groupon, coupons or are looking to party. He told the couple inside how the groupon coupon was worthless since you can find better coupons online, how people that use coupons are only for discounts and are killing the wine industry, how party atmospheres like Wilson Creek and others were promoting Disneyland-type atmospheres instead of great wine...it was hard to swallow (even with the delicious wine) since we were given this as a groupon. That being said...the wine was delicious and the tastings were only 6 for ten dollars (compare to Weins at 6 for 15). The view is wonderful and it was a nice place; however, it was so weird that a server that just took your coupon would belittle a client for about twenty straight minutes. My wife and I just tried to tune him out as we were shocked...I probably should have went to say something to him. His attitude (could just be him or maybe is the attitude of the entire place) could be why a place with such delicious wines was the emptiest of all places (that included the parking lot at Monte De Oro which was actually closed today). I hate to give bad reviews since one server might not represent the entire place, but it was ridiculous and insulting. I will go back and hope to not have a wannabee Paul Giamatti from Sideways serving again.

To be honest my husband and I stopped in here because they had the earliest tasting times. lol We are so glad we did! Not only were the grounds beautiful, but Xavier our tasting room specialist was a gem. He explained all the different wines and which we should try based on what we liked. We're not wine snobs, just wine enthusiasts. He made our experience feel like we were family! Such a quaint winery with great staff, beautiful views and a suave cat! We will definitely be back when we'er in the area!

Friendly family winery. This is definitely the old school winery you have been looking for. Owners are very knowledgeable and care deeply for their product.

Frangipani is one of the best wineries we've visited in Temecula. Well presented and explained by the owners' daughter. Very fine wines, in fact, we brought some home with us, and we'll go back next time we're in the area.

I've been tasting in Temecula for years (dare I say decades?). As I watch mega-wineries blossom, I feel a bit of sadness for the great wines that once dominated the region.
Off the beaten bath of Calif. Rancho Road, this winery will likely escape the attention of many. They are missing out. The wines here are some of the best I've tasted, in particular their Sangiovese (I took a bottle with me to have with dinner).
Rather than being cramped in a large gaudy complex, I was able to sit quietly with a few other tasters, taking in the beautiful day and the nice wines. While the Sangiovese was the top for me, the other wines I tasted were consistently good.
Come for the wine, and stay a while.

This was our second visit to Frangipani Winery. We visited on a recent stay in Escondido. Their Italian style of reds were great and Nick was very knowledgeable and courteous. We highly recommend Frangipani Winery.

Such a great find yesterday! A couple girlfriends and I were out wine tasting and after hitting Wilson Creek, decided we wanted something a lot less commercial and small feeling. We found Frangipani and were glad we did! Such a great spot! The only wine I had I didn't like was the rose, but everything else was on point! Nic, the manager served us at a table in the main room. The service was excellent and it was nice to actually have someone who had the time to talk to you about the wines, processes, and give recommendations, something that's hard to find in busy Temecula. Overall, great spot.
Oh! And make sure you bring cash if you like to recognize people for their good service. I ran into this several times throughout the day--turns out most places up there don't allow credit card tips.

not enjoyable experience, the guy at the counter might as well work at a morgue, the place was empty and the guy wanted to place our party outside in the hot sun with no shade, we refused the offer, the wine had particles sitting on bottom of glass, we were told the wine was not filtered, not a good time. We had a wonderful time at Briar Rose Winery, great wine and great people, don't wast your time at Frangipan

Such a beautiful winery, with amazing tasting wines. The server, J.D., was excellent and did an amazing job recommending wines for us.
