Abundant Ambience
Sep 2021
Not too many people on this mid week visit so that was super lucky! The ambience at this spot transports you away to another point in time.

Great Prosecco beautiful place
Sep 2021 • Friends
Beautiful place, great wine. Their Prosecco was very good as well as other red wines we tried. They have live bands music during the weekend.

Lovely place
Sep 2021 • Friends
We went to celebrate a birthday so we were looking for a relaxing place with good food. We like to choose a few plates and share. The scallops were delicious and tender. The bread with the grilled tomato’s was delicious, the mixed mushrooms tasted earthy and flavorful. The cerviche that we did not order was very good. The sea bass was delicious. I wish I had ordered a side of vegetables to go with it but it was a very good dish. The skirt steak was flavorful and tender. We ordered potatoes to go with it which tasted great. Sorbet ended the meal with coffee. We had to ask for more coffee. The restaurant is lovely with high ceilings and a touch of Spain. The meal was delicious but the service was awful. As soon as we were given the menus we were asked which appetizers we wanted to order. Then after a group decision we had to wait to order. Do you want to order a main course was said in an impatient manner. We had to ask for more coffee. I am happy to pay well for good service. With a bill of $200 without drinks she could have had a great tip. But with the attitude and the slow and inattentive service it was the standard amount. I was a waitress once. This spoilt a great celebration. Will I go back? Probably as the food was delicious but I would make sure I have a different server.

Good wine tasting selections
Aug 2021 • Friends
If Y'all are looking have a good wine tasting selections then come here. Derek who has been working here for a long time was our wine expert guide for us. He is very knowledgeable person who explained to us about each of the wine we've tasted. Very friendly and attentive. He even went out on the field to harvest the grapes to make wines. The winery isn't as big as the others, but it felt really nice and romantic there. They have hotel rooms for rent. The are good food selections to go with wine tasting. I would recommended getting the fig with chili. The sweet and chili balanced each other. I also would recommended getting the Paco Rojo bottle of wine. The wine is good for after dinner. It has a suttle sweetness and smooth. Highly recommended coming here and speaking to Derek.

Like we said before some employees are nice but some are not which makes your experience bitter.

some stuff is very friendly but then some are not. the wine tasting are confusing and disorganized. We were told to wait for table so we started to do wine tasting inside and when they called us we went outside to the table. I told them we started inside and how many drinks we had as we are members. We were told later that we have leave because they are not sure how many drinks we had and to check. So we went back inside but we felt unwelcomed. I do think they should train their stuff better.

The wine is not good at all
Jul 2021
We did a tasting here on a weekday at the C'est la Vie outside tasting area. The place itself is not bad, the grounds are pretty, and there's plenty of shaded seating with misters to combat the heat. But we really did not like any of the wines. They are like $2 boxed supermarket wine. The Primitivo was incredibly sour, I've never tasted a wine so sour. Like a bit of green apple in my white wine is desirable but this tasted like a Warhead. They offered an off-tasting menu unoaked Chardonnay that was just terrible, I'm not even sure how to describe the flavor. Every wine had some kind of undesirable extreme trait (too sweet, too much alcohol, too sour). The only one that was drinkable was the Grand Melange but the bottle was overpriced for what it was (mostly black currant aroma).

Beyond the wine, the C'est la Vie area did not feel "French" even though it's supposed to be the French area. I've been to various places in France and this felt more Spanish (and they even had Cava on the tasting menu). I was expecting a little more differentiation between the areas but they mostly look the same, generic European.

They canceled us 2 Hrs. Prior to Check In!!!
Jul 2021
We should really be given the option to put a negative star. I am absolutely appalled. My husband was taking me for our anniversary and booked two nights for this weekend. Well, he gets a call at 1pm today from someone (didn't remember her name, he was so upset) saying that they had to cancel our reservations because they had a "Pipe Burst" in the very room that was reserved for us and that they had no other rooms to offer us- "they are completely booked for the weekend". 2 Hours prior to check in!! What if we had been on the road already? Thankfully we weren't going to be heading out till later after work.

The lady offered to comp us a room for a future date and said she'd email the info. Well, all my husband received was the email with the cancellation details of the room- no comp. No surprise. I tried to call them myself to see if I could understand exactly what was happening but all I got was a voicemail. Of course, no call back as of yet.

Too bad, it's a beautiful place but horrible customer service. Regardless, Happy Anniversary to us! My Super Husband managed to get a last minute reservation somewhere else locally. So we'll still enjoy ourselves.

Stay more than one night in the Casita's - you will not regret it!
Jun 2021
We stayed one night in one of the Casita's and it was wonderful! The room was beautiful, spotless, great amenities and the bed was SO comfortable. Wish we had been able to stay longer!

Not A Resort
May 2021
Just stayed in their new Casitas. Minimal at best! No resort feel for a resort price. Minimal amenities and there is no staff or service on property 24/7. You have to call someone to come to the property when you need something. They appear to working a shoe string but charging resort prices.

REALLY HAPPY WITH OUR STAY!
Apr 2021
As their resort is split up into different "regions" and have multiple sections to it, I hope I am leaving my review in the right place. We stayed in the "Bolero Casitas" of Europa Village. We wanted to do a quick Temecula get-away during Spring Break. We booked two casitas in the 'Spanish'-themed section of the property. We were very happy with the casitas because of the private entrances and private courtyard patios. They were adorable, spacious, and so so clean! They felt quite pandemic-friendly with lots of open air. We had a couple hiccups when we first checked-in, but every staff member we interacted with was thoughtful, helpful, and polite. One hiccup was that I misunderstood the website regarding a free breakfast. I thought breakfast came with our stay at the casitas, but it's only provided if you stay at "the Inn" (which is a different region of the property). This was a little unclear on the website. Mei Lee (sp?) shared this with her manager and they still honored free breakfast for us... It happened to be one of the best breakfasts! Regardless, I would still stay at the Casitas again, with or without a free breakfast. In fact my husband and I were both bummed we weren't staying another night. Corey (Cory?) was super informative about the resort and made sure our party (which also included senior parents and our two little boys) was happy. They even provided a s'mores kit for the kids at their fire pit in the evening. We did some wine tasting in their outdoor tasting area (i think in their 'french' region) and had dinner at the Bolero restaurant... we were so impressed by the kindness of every staff member. Also the food really was very good. The portions are not huge, and are as they really should be if you want to avoid over-eating (normally my husband and I split our entrees because we feel portions at most restaurants are just grossly too big). Our dinner left us feeling good. The staff at the restaurant and in the resort all go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and taken care of. And at check-out, Bonnie helped me use Apple Pay for the first time :D. Overall, the atmosphere and environment were great, the staff was friendly, and the lodgings were clean. We really had a lovely stay and can't wait to go back to see how Europa Village further develops.
