About
Monte De Oro Winery is one of Temecula Valley’s newest premier wineries with a passion for growing quality grapes, handcrafting premium wines and providing “the ultimate” wine experience for its guests. Featuring 100% estate wines, Monte De Oro has 4 vineyards with over 70 acres producing twelve red grape and five white grape varietals. Monte De Oro barrel-ages its red wines in 100% French Oak (85% American Oak for our Zinfandel) for up to 28 months to produce beautifully balanced wines accentuating the terroir and grape characteristics of our four vineyards. Our wines then bottle age for an additional 6 months before being released to the public.Monte De Oro Winery planted it first grapes in 2002 and opened its winery in 2010. Since 2010, Monte Do Oro has won over 60 awards, including 19 Chairman Trophy, Platinum, Double Gold or Gold Medals. We offer 13 red wines, 2 reserve wines and 5 white wines.

My husband and I go to this winery every time we are in Temecula. We liked it so much after our first visit that we became members. We have been going there for over 5 years and love their red wines. The whites are good too but we prefer the reds.
The winery is beautiful and has a great view from both the inside of the building as well as the patio. There is plenty of seating where you can enjoy your wine and listen to music when they have it, The food from their bistro is good too. Try their truffle fries..amazing!
The staff is attentive and friendly. If you are ever in the area make this one of your stops, you wont regret it.

This is one of our very favorite Temecula wineries which has it all – excellent wines and food, super friendly servers (especially Becca!), a gorgeous tasting room and expansive patio with stellar views. We were so impressed with all of the above, that we joined on our first visit.
Monte de Oro has become the perfect weekly meeting place for our rather large (14+ people) wine social group. The tasting room is a stunning area to gather in, with a huge palladian window showcasing the soaring views. We usually end up on the beautiful huge patio which is comfortable year-round, thanks to shading/breezes in the summer and heaters in the winter, along with some large tables to accommodate our group.
Let’s face it – there are many Temecula wineries with great wines, food and views…the difference at MdO is the staff! While all the servers are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, Becca consistently goes above and beyond and is truly a gem and such a ray of sunshine at this very special winery.

Hello All, We love this winery. We have been coming for many year the staff is always welcoming and pleasant. I see some of the recent negative reviews. Please remember that the Covid and State have hampered the winery's ability to provide a gold tier experience. Reservations, showing up at you assigned time are a must! When this is behind us Grab a bottle of their Congruity award winning red wine, relax and enjoy the view. That's what wine tasting is all about!

I would like to give five stars for the wines and the beautiful views, but unfortunately I can give only one star for the service when you arrive. We are the members for over three years , actually we were, because I just had to cancel our membership because of the service and attitude of the cashier and the seating girl Cristina. So not in to customer service. Unfriendly and rude. The service people got changed from the time we joined. I don’t see these friendly and welcoming people behind the bar. Cristina is just something! At first everyone had to wait for her to show up for some time. Last time I thought she will never show up, and then she just tells that this table on the first patio is just for members and reservations only, that’s when I asked why I’m we shouldn’t be seated at available table there. But when I said that actually am a member and I did reservations, she tells me something else. The table was available for whole hour and another customers were seated in that area in 30 min, I checked that specifically. The waitress was very nice actually, I am not sure if I memorized her name correctly, so I not be mentioning , but otherwise this membership cancellation Came after experiencing of having this uncomfortable attitude and conversations with the service people for a while. I did cancellation with some pain, will be missing some good wines and the views, but there are so many great wineries over there, just going to choose another one. Is just so sad to see that there are people who don’t care about growth of the company and customer service, a specially at these time.

Spent lovely afternoon of wine tasting. Went with friends who are wine club members. I haven't been here for several years but glad I went today. Being a weekday was a plus, no crowds. Service was very good, thanks Austin😊👍, he shared such great info on the wines. I could really feel his love & passion for what he does. I decided on a glass of Congruity (spelling?) absolutely delicious and enjoyable as a fruit forward and smooth red.

We were married at Monte de Oro in September and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience! First, the event manager, Brittany Roderick was the best to work with – she was easygoing and professional during the entire process, and made us feel very welcome. We booked over a year in advanced and communicated throughout the process. Brittany was quick to answer any questions as well as offer advice. You couldn’t ask for a nicer person to work with Brittany exceeded our expectations.
The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. All of our guests had a great time. The venue itself is beautiful, inside and out. Monte de Oro only allows one wedding per day and being the only wedding on site was a huge plus. We absolutely recommend Monte de Oro without hesitation!

Let's start high - location is great, facility is awesome, massive veranda beautiful, glass floor looking into wine production creative - but I felt the wines were so so. Our server (Brian) seemed overwhelmed with activity at the tasting bar and that impacted our experience. So sorry Brian - work on that smile.

Riley and Brody were fabulous servers walking us through our tasting. They took great care of us and made us feel very welcome and appreciated as customers. The wine selections were very vast and could appease any taste palate. They do focus on reds, but the white selection was fairly broad too. Definitely worth the stop!

This large winery in the heart of Temecula wine country is beautiful. With a large outdoor patio with wonderful views of the surrounding vineyards. The wines are very good and the food is decent. The staff is excellent. There is plenty of parking. I would highly recommend.

On a recent visit with another couple, this was our first stop on a day of tasting. Our server had worked there for over 8 years, but didn't seem real knowledgeable on the wines. She had to keep looking at bottle labels to answer our questions. We tasted some whites and reds, none of which we were overly impressed with. We did receive a coupon from her to go to Europa Village which we later stopped at. We did order some food from their bistro which came out timely and was very good. It's a great place to stop to eat if you are in the area for tasting, but the wines were so so.
