    Extraordinary Experience
I had the most magical, extraordinary experience celebrating my Mom's 83rd birthday with family and friends at Leoness. Renee Antrobus worked with me to set up a special toast and honoring speeches in their beautiful, exclusive Winder room. The entire experience of fine wine, good friends and touching stories brought my Mom to tears. We had the 2020 Zinfandel from their signature series and it was a big hit! Before the first toast my Mom's special high school friend was late and missing and the staff (without being asked on their own) immediately went search the grounds for her and picked her up in a golf cart and escorted her to the private room. My friends kept commenting about how extraordinary the staff was being helpful, caring, cheerful, knowledgable about the wines and basically will to do anything to make this a positive extra special experience. The fun continued as we all moved to the Members Terrace where everyone tasted various flights of wine and had a delicious lunch. Every guest was blown away by the view, the service, the wine and the food. It was truly a delightful and memorable experience for all.

    Great atmosphere and scenery
Great old charm winery with spectacular views. Server did not explain wines. But we still picked some great wines to sample. The atmosphere made up for it. Live music was amazing

    Beautiful views and good wines
Beautiful winery with live music. Property overlooks the vineyards and mountains in the background. Wines were good but host wasn’t as engaged or informative. Didn’t take the time to understand what we preferred. Would return to grab a glass, enjoy the live music and take in the views.

Without a membership (or at least going with a member), this place is not worth visiting IMO. We enjoyed some wine, appetizers and music at another winery the weekend before and we were looking to do the same at this winery, particulalry since friends liked and had a membership at the winery. We arrived to learn the music location did not have food service, so we decided on wine and appetizers ... for background we were not interested in their tasting, having done many over the years in various locations in California, Oregon, France, Italy, etc. including barrel tasting and a few decades of purchasing wine futures from high end smaller volume wineries. Unfortunately as non-members, you are relligated to the least attractive area of the winery, where they do offer a wine bar and would start offering tapas at 1 pm ... but the "feeling" is that you are being treated as a second class citizens (including dirty tables, with what looked like food bits from a previous day's tapas). We decided to leave, without trying their wine, tapas or listening to the music. The ground and the buildings are very nice looking, but the winery clearly is focused on membership and members only areas...and that is their right and likely how they generate much of their sales, but it came off as uninviting and pretentious (i.e., not a place that we were interested in patronizing). We went elsewhere and enjoyed a very nice meal.

We first visited Leoness in 2014, when the winery was just establishing itself. Now they seem mature in their facility and it is wonderful. We splurged on the private Perfect Wine Experience and were hosted by Jameson. We got superb treatment and tasted many superb wines, complemented by cheese pairings. Jameson showed no hesitation about bringing out wines that were not on our tasting list as we discussed our likes (no dislikes!). Leoness has a small production, but is certainly making fine wines and certainly has a beautiful winery. This was great day trip from Palm Desert!

Excellent service from Becky, great wines, awesome ambience, fantastic food. Our first visit from Napa wine country and Becky treated us very well. Her customer service/knowledge/patience and Leoness quality wines greatly influenced our decision to join their Gold club and to also to buy a case of wine. Thanks so much!

Our group had the privilege of going on a tour conducted by Jason Curl. This tour was very informative as he shared the magic of wine county, harvest, crush and the fruits of their labor. We enjoyed both white and red wines along the way. We ended with a small reception on their new club members patio. great space, STUNNING views and delicious small bites. Tour was organized by Grapeline, Temecula, be sure to jump over to their page for more information on how simple it is to organize group tours!!!

Jameson was a fantastic guide for our tour and tase experience. From the beginning he was full of energy and made our first wine tasting sun and approachable. The vineyard itself was beautiful and wine/food amazing! Would highly recommend for anyone visiting.

To say we had a disappointing experience at Leoness Cellars would be a massive understatement.

Despite reserving an outdoor table two weeks prior for my 30th birthday and arriving 15 minutes early, we were shuffled around the property for almost an hour with no help, eventually ending up in a windowless conference room due to staff miscommunications.

We barely had 40 minutes to enjoy our reservation due to this chaos. Additionally, we were misinformed about food options, resulting in meat dishes being served to vegetarians.

Their supervisor displayed a lack of empathy and carried an attitude that clearly told me she couldn't care less about our experience, and if we came back.

Akash Winery on the other hand provided a complete turnaround with its seamless service and gorgeous view. Avoid Leoness at all costs; there are far better options in Temecula.

The wine was good but nothing different than available in this area. We came on a Friday and were frustrated that the lunch menu was only available for members on friday, Saturday and sunday. On their website there is absolutely no mention of a lunch menu being available to the public on other days as we would have come another day. Overall average and somewhat frustrating experience

I had contacted them a few days before to arrange for a tour. Circumstances changed a number of times requiring me to reconnect with them a number of times. Through some communication issues i wasn't able to confirm our reservation until a few hours before our time. Somehow it all worked. And it was the HIGHLIGHT of our time in the valley!!! Jacqueline was out tour guide and she did a fabulous job! There were 6 of us and she made it such a great experience!! We all learned so much, and even got to taste a grape on the vine. The folks here were so accommodating and gracious! Best experience, and best tasting we had. Our pourer was wonderful as well. Heidi was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient with all of us. Thank you Leoness!

The atmosphere and grounds of Leoness Cellars is lovely and the staff is wonderful; the folks at Leoness were knowledgeable, kind and attentive. It was a beautiful and very hot day. The full covered patio with misters with well thought out landscaping kept everyone cool. While the ambiance, service and food was great we found the wine to be disappointing and sub par,

We tasted six different wines (3 whites, 3 reds). We belong to several wineries and love to travel to visit to find a new gem of a winery for collection. We live in wine region up north so were very excited to finally visit a region that we have not been to before. We read other positive reviews before picking this location but the wine fell flat.

We found the Chard to be very sharp and tart and not a good representation. The Syrah tasted like dusty dried prunes with a hint of gym sock, and the Cab poured tasted corked. New pours were not better either. Found the tannins in the cabernet lacking with no well defined structure. I maybe bias there as I like a more full Cab. We left our glasses on the table after drinking the Cab and walked out before finishing all our tastings because of the disappointment in their wine.

There are dozens of wonderful wineries and amazing wine makers in the beautiful landscape that is Temecula but Leoness Cellars is not one of them. They have a lot going for them but the wine making is not it. If you love wine and looking for an experience I would not recommend Leoness. Find someplace else.
