- Carol R9 contributionsHighly recommendWe visited several wineries on this day, and decided on lunch at Wilson Winery. We are so glad we did. Food was excellent, and our waiter Ramiro was the BEST. He went out of his way to look after us. You are so fortunate to have him on your staff. He was so excited to tell us about the family and was so informative ….highly recommend.Thank you for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you had a great experience and enjoyed the excellent food. We're also glad to hear that Ramiro provided exceptional service and made your visit even more enjoyable. We appreciate your recommendation and feel fortunate to have Ramiro on our staff. We hope to welcome you back soon for another memorable experience. While sampling wines we got a visit from Santa! The staff were friendly and helpful during our wine tasting! The parking lot was huge, but there was a cart that came through to take you from your car to the front entrance of the winery! What lovely memories were made during this visit!Visited December 2023Traveled with friendsWritten December 27, 2023
- Bryce P2 contributionsSo unbelievably beautiful!!!The Vineyard Row was the perfect setting for my romantic, intimate wedding rehearsal dinner! Rose was a dream to work with, she was so nice and on top of things. Not only was the Almond Sparkling Wine a HUGE hit, but the food was delicious! I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding rehearsal location!! My guests were amazed at how beautiful and delicious everything was!Visited May 2024Traveled with friendsWritten June 10, 2024
- Noemi JohnsonMurrieta, California24 contributionsBeautiful, spacious, member or free general parking, dress to impress and wine tasting.I visited Wilson Creek Winery recently and had a wonderful time! When you arrive, you'll notice that there's designated member parking on the left and regular parking on the right. The winery provides a convenient golf cart service that drives around and offers complimentary pick-ups. Entrance to the winery is free, but you have the option to become a member, which allows you to pick up your wine or have it delivered. As you explore the winery, you'll come across a lovely picnic area with a charming small pond and a bridge. It's important to note that bringing your own food is not allowed. The first building on the right is where you can purchase tickets, wine tastings, and merchandise. Additionally, there are restroom facilities located on the left side of this building, both downstairs and upstairs. The second floor is exclusively reserved for members. For those who prefer to avoid the stairs, there are elevators available on the right side of the building, and stairs located on the outside of the building to the left. You can freely roam around the winery, find a place to purchase tickets, or simply relax and enjoy the scenery. There's plenty of space to spread out, making it a great spot to bring your picnic blanket and have a leisurely time on the grass with your family. If you're feeling hungry, the winery is home to the Creekside Grille, an American restaurant with a menu that can be found on wilsoncreekwinery.com. I highly recommend making reservations, as the restaurant tends to get busy. The prices range from $20 to $30 per person. Additionally, there are banquet rooms located across the main building, and restrooms can be found upstairs in that building as well. To make a reservation at the Creekside Grille, you can either call or book online. The staff at Wilson Creek Winery are incredibly friendly, and the facilities are well-maintained. It's a great place for people-watching, as many visitors are dressed to impress. If you're a fan of live music, be sure to check the winery's website for upcoming events and performances.Visited September 2024Traveled with friendsWritten September 22, 2024

We stopped here on our way from Palm Springs to San Clemente. There was a light crowd of people but I had to wait 20 minutes to buy a tasting “ticket.” There was no one in line ahead of me except the two groups at the checkout. The cashiers spent a long time chatting with them and with each other. When I finally got the ticket we got reasonable service until our bartender took a break and turned us over to someone else who ignored us while waiting on one other couple. He was very discourteous. After we picked the wines we wished to purchase the checkout was again very slow because the cashiers were again chatting with each other.
The restaurant, however, was excellent! Our waiter was very skilled and the food vas well prepared, well presented and very tasty.
We will not return.

We are sorry that you were disappointed with your experience! Thank you for the honest feedback. Although it's hard to hear we appreciate the truth so that we may learn from it. Wilson Creek is known for its sparkling wines and years ago when it began, it was a wonderful experience. Given COVID 19 experience, they have allowed tastings with 6 foot spacing, but this place is mobbed and the wines are overpriced. The chocolate experience you get with the almond sparkling wine now is a separate charge. It is huge and frankly at this point, not something I look for. People are drawn to this winery because it's known, but I think like many other wineries along the Rancho California Rd, they have caved in to being mercenary instead of being a good wine tasting experience. We did like the peach belini sparkling wine, but I don't think paying those inflated prices is wise. I did buy my husband a really cool resort shirt in the store though.

We loved Wilson Creek. It was recommended by a friend for their white cabernet. The minute we walked it we knew it must be great because it was packed, we walked up to a tasting table and had the best server who loved her job. We bought several wines and the white Cabernet was delicious. We took a glass of wine to the courtyard where we could sit in the sun and listen to live music. We did not try the restaurant but I was full as well. This was a fun afternoon with great wines!

Massie was very knowledgeable about the wines were sampling. Also very friendly & entertaining. Aricela was nice server. Reuben sandwich was best I ever had. Huge arugula salad that was fresh & tasty. We met Gus the winemaker. He is so passionate about his craft & so knowledgeable. So many great wines! Loved the white cabernet, cab/zin blend, double dog & some interesting ports. The grounds are beautiful. Music every Saturday. Don’t miss this winery & restaurant. We loved it 100%.

Loved the massive outdoor space. The cafe was open for orders, the burgers and pizza were pretty good. They had a frozen wine slushie which was really good. The tasting card was $20 and you get 6 tastings. Stand around a large outdoor wine bar. Only downside was once the sun starting going it down it got COLD fast (BRING A SWEATER) other than that it was great! We joined the wine club. If you have any feeling you might want to join, join it online 24 hours before you go so you can get your free wine tasting. They allow you and 3 guests to go for free as a member. ($80 value)

Arrived here and were greeted by a very nice woman who directed us to the grill for lunch. We walked to the grill counter and before we could order the cashier began to wait on two men who came in behind us. The advised her we were there first she ignored that info. The other server took our order and handed it along with my credit card to the cashier. I signed the receipt but realized we had not been asked if we wanted a drink. I asked the cashier woman what was on draft and she replied but walked away. I asked when could I get the draft and she replied as soon as she finished with those people who had come in after us. Incredibly poor service. Maybe $20.00 for two burgers and $9 for a draft beer was not enough money for her. My advice go to taste the wine but avoid the so called grill.

What to get away for a few hours. This is the place to be. Wine tasting is a must if you want to taste the latest wine for a low cost of $25 for 6 samples. If you want to dine and wine make sure you make reservations. The restaurant is a great place to have lunch and the food is excellent. I recommend going early when there less people. Experience it for yourself and you won't be disappointed.

This winery came rcommended by a young lady, a waitress, at the Cork Fire Kitchen (see my separate review on this restaurant). We were just visiting Temecula for a simple, never been there, quick getaway. My wife thought it might be nice to pick up some gifts for her friends' birthdays. Somehow we discovered they have an almond sparkling wine, which we both samples with hors d'oeuvres on their patio, then purchased a few bottles for gifts. This is a nice place to visit, and per our waitress informant, they have concerts in the summer with big name groups. Nice joint to visit, getaway and decompress for a day or so.

I went to this winery in Temecula. First, I should disclosed that I come from France and visit many wineries in France, but also in Texas where I used to live.
This place was very disappointing and it mights be good for rich people who live in LA and wants to see a winery without traveling far away... Even compared to the one I visited in Texas (young but growing business there), it was very bad.
I went to the breakfast buffet, it was overpriced ($45) for a small selection of food, mainly oily/sugary stuffs. There were oysters shots that smelled bad and I didn't want to try them. There were even no cheese at all and very few (bad bread). Again, in Texas, the food was much better quality, cheaper.
The wine to taste was good. But tasting wine is also about the experience, not pay, drink, be happy, and leave. I didn't know if I was in a winery or any bar downtown elsewhere.
There were live music, which was nice. Enough table outside with fresh water.

Is there a picnic area here where you can bring your own food?
Written June 15, 2024
There's a picnic area, a play set with swings, and a pond, but outside food is not allowed as they sell food there.
Written September 22, 2024
Hello Wilson Creek,
Do you allow our group of 6 to bring our own lunch/food to your outdoor picnic area to enjoy while we are purchasing your wine? We'd visit this friday. If your policy does NOT allow this, could you recommend a winery that does? Thank you. Appreciate your assistance

Are kids allowed to come? We would have three girls ages 20, 18 and 13?
Written October 3, 2020
Yes children are allowed. I think I remember they had some lawn games which would be fun for them. In case I am wrong maybe they can bring a game with them to make the time pass in a fun way. Enjoy!
Written October 4, 2020
They have their “wine dogs” which are, I believe, four Golden Retrievers. My recollection is that there was a sign saying no dogs other than service animals allowed. It’s worth a call though.

Is it possible to spend one night in your winery?

What type wines are they known for? Any whites?
Written August 13, 2018
Hello! Wilson Creek is known for their sparklers, along with many other varietals, but we really got a kick out of their almond sparkler, as well as their white Cabernet Sauvignon. We were able to customize our flights, so I chose half white and half red (six pours total). All were delicious!
