Over 30 alpacas of all ages just waiting to meet us as we approached. We watched them run around for a while and then fed them! So cute to feel them tickle your hand as they eat. Owner is lovely and told us great stories about their animals (they started with 2!) Gift shop had unique and wonderful alpaca items.

I was sad to see that this ranch is open only on weekends, but I also noted that you could make an appointment to stop by. I'm an avid knitter and wanted some alpaca yarn, so I e-mailed Shirley. She made time for us the following afternoon, and I told another woman about it, so we were two carloads. We absolutely loved learning about and feeding the alpacas. Shirley was a friendly and informative host, and it was obvious that the animals love her. We were all in a photo-frenzy, snapping pics of these lovable creatures. They get sheared in a month, so we got to see them at their fullest (and softest). If you're into animals, this is a great stop--took less than an hour. By the way, she has a variety of products in her shop, including alpaca fleece teddy bears, which are the softest things I've ever felt.

Reading the reviews, we were so excited to check this place out. I’m guessing the owners have given up a bit on making this an “ experience”

We drove in, were handed food. And you just stare at the alpacas as long as you want from outside the fence until youre ushered into the gift shop to pay.

Really underwhelming and not worth the drive.

We were very excited to visit the farm and see the Alpacas. They didn’t open till noon so we had to wait around Tehachapi in order to go. When we got there the owner very quickly pointed out some of the Alpacas and then wanted to usher everyone into her little shack with goods she was selling. The Alpacas were not friendly and you couldn’t do anything but look at them. I am sad we wasted so many hours waiting to go in and then wasted time there.

The place was smaller than we thought it would be, basically a home-run business, but that didn't make it any less interesting. We got to see a newborn alpaca chasing its mother around the pen trying to nurse, as well as males and females at all stages of life (well, maybe not very old!). The owner was very helpful and told us a lot about the creatures. Fun for adults and kids alike.

Once you see the Alpaca's you want to take one home. Great tour and our guide answered all our questions about the Alpaca's. They also have an demonstration on a spinning wheel and making yarn from the fun. Have a very nice gift shop, small but a nice selection of Alpaca, hats, gloves, scarves, socks, sweaters and stuff dolls. You can't help but take something home. Very friendly staff. A great experience for the family.

Sweet and adorable animals. Interesting and a fantastic weekend day trip for my 4 year old. They're gentle and calm. Cute little baby alpaca too! The owner is really nice and easy going. The store has some super cute stuff!

The owner lives on the property and is super sweet. She showed us the Alapacas and kids even feed them Alapaca food. She has a cute little gift shop with Alapaca wool stuff. Took us all 10-15 mins to go thru it. My kids loved it

Great place to visit whether you are an adult or a family with children as there is everything for everyone for looking at the alpacas to buying good quality goods in the gift shop. The only drawback is that you have to phone them before you go as the Ranch is not open everyday which is a shame. I went there 3 times and found the place closed and empty twice. They need to have a sign by the gate with dates and times when they are open for the public. Saves wasted trips. Apart from that the gift shop had great genuine an unique products for sale and the staff were nice and friendly.
