I wouldn't make a special trip to the ranch, however if you are in the area and you have kids with you it is a good quick activity to occupy the kids. It is worth paying a bit to feed the baby ostriches. Have your camera ready!

If you are in the Tehachapi area and have young kids, this is a fun place to stop by. When I say stop by, the tour is pretty short but the tour guide was very informative and made the most of what they had on the ranch on a hot day. The birds were delightful to see at different growth... More

No customers were there when we arrived, looked around didn't see anyone, went into gift store where there was a young man working, we looked around and saw a sample picture with 6 people in it on a Ostrich we decided to get a picture taken. After paying the money for the picture he said policy had changed and only... More

We were initially looking for Ostrich Steaks, when we found Indian Point. No one was there but us. The young man in the gift shop was incredibly knowledgeable about Ostriches. They sell numerous items including Ostrich lotion, soap, oil, feathers, even adorable stuffed ostriches. However they do not seek ostrich meat. You can get some at the local Albertsons. If... More

This is a nice inexpensive little day trip for the family and kids. Very informative guided tour and small gift shop. You will know much more about Ostriches when you leave!

This ranch is about 15-20 mins from the "downtown" Tehachapi area so plan on making the trek out toward Bear Valley to enjoy this wonderful farm. There is a playground for kids but most of the toys are metal so if you visit in the summer they are too hot to play on (but excellent during the fall, winter and... More

We went there on our way out of town. Saw the babies that were just a few weeks old. We couldnt go up too close so the gentleman working there took my camera and took some pics. Lots of information in talking to the staff at the gift shop. They were proud to be featured on Fear Factor. Another place... More

This is a cute ranch and farm for ostriches. We took the tour which was supposed to be free but they asked for $4 per person donation. It was a very short simple tour where we learned a lot about these amazing birds. You can take a picture with a digital ostrich as if you were riding it. Some ostrich... More

Very interesting and informative. The Ostrich farm is a great place to take your kids. The store has lots of items made from Ostriches on hand plus they can ship anywhere.

This is a good tour and we learned a lot about ostriches. They let you get close enough that you can let them peck at your hand if you want to. Easily can be done in an hour with the obligatory end in the souvenir shop.
