Founded in 1992, the Indian Point Ostrich Ranch is oneof the largest working ostrich ranches in the WesternUnited States. In 1995 the ranch opened to the public and began “Os Trich-izing” visitors from all over the world with the largest and friendliest birds on earth. “Os Trich-izing” is our unique blend of fun and information while getting nose to beak with an ostrich. These majestic dinosaur like creatures can grow to be 10 feet tall and weigh 500 lbs. Come see them for yourself.

We were told that the Ostrich Ranch is not open to visitors anymore...was quite disappointed. I think though, that you can still get burgers from a cafe in town.

Worth the drive from Tehachapi if you're in the area with kids. We got to feed the Ostrich and learned a few new things on our visit.

Great place for a day trip. A unique place to come visit. Bring the family and enjoy a day feeding and learning about Ostriches. A good time.

An interesting place, it is good for kids especially. Although you can see a few of the animals, for the most part, you have to pay for the extras, like getting close to them, or the "tour". I imagine they need to do that to...More

I wouldn't make a special trip to the ranch, however if you are in the area and you have kids with you it is a good quick activity to occupy the kids. It is worth paying a bit to feed the baby ostriches. Have your...More

According to the local paper, the owners did retire and were unable to sell the place. Check out the Tehachapi news paper, they had the article a month or more ago.
