Our family of 4, including 2 teenagers, did the Sand Harbor kayak tour. We were staying in Tahoe Vista, so we drove to the nearby King's Beach parking lot (paid $10 to park) and were picked up by their van and driven to Sand Harbor with 2 other people. We met up with the rest of our group, which totaled 14. I had asked for 1 double kayak and 2 singles when we booked the tour and they had them ready for us. They also provided life jackets and dry bags to store our cell phones and anything else we wanted to keep dry. We were provided a brief introduction and tips and then we went out on the water. The kayaks felt very sturdy and nobody had any real trouble, even the beginners. The water was very clear and beautiful and it was a nice way to spend time on the lake. The people in our group were friendly and it was nice to meet visitors from across the U.S. We spent 2 hours on the water and our 2 guides, Scott and Ben, were very knowledgable and gave us some history about the Thunderbird Lodge from the water (to visit the lodge you have to do the tour they offer on Tuesdays only). At the end of the tour, they provided some packaged snacks and cold drinks back at Sand Harbor, and then drove us back to King's Beach. I would recommend this tour for anyone who has never kayaked or has only a little experience. It was also nice to experience the nice beach at Sand Harbor without hassling with the limited parking there.

Incredibly nice and knowledgeable guides on our kayak tour. Mellow and fun and so relaxing. Well worth it. Better than just renting kayaks.

We had a fantastic snowshoeing tour with the very friendly and knowledgeable Tyler! The sights and area was beautiful, and Tyler was always accommodating, offering insightful advice and info along the way. Couldn’t have asked for a better first experience snowshoeing and would love to return again one day!

By far the absolute BEST adventure I have ever chosen! The Company does an amazing job at keeping in contact with you, frequently providing keen information for the tour; directions, parking permit, appropriate attire, answering any and ALL questions you may have! Our tour guide Zach was beyond AWESOME (if we could give 12/10 rating, would so would!) My boyfriend and I are from Miami, where we all know there are no mountains. The hike itself is do-able with frequent breaks. Zach was so patient with us, provided some great historical tips, and never stopped motivating us to get to the top!!! After the hardest climbs, came the best views. Seriously book this tour with NO hesitation.

We rented a tandem kayak from Tahoe Adventure Company. The rental was quick and easy. You walk up and scan the QR code on your phone, fill out the waiver on your phone and send it in. They have large and small dry bags for rent for $5. We took the large one, which fit our towels, our picnic lunch, and a number of other things that we didn't want to get wet. The kayaking itself was great! After leaving, we headed left approx an hour to the rocky area, which was nice to explore. We found a rock near enough to shore that we could easily get out of the kayak to swim and then sit on the rock to eat lunch before heading back. Overall trip was 3 hours and the scenery was beautiful (in spite of the haze due to the wildfires around CA). We would definetly do this again.
