The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the Lake. We learned a lot and the presentation was relaxed and informative. Excellent from beginning to end. The building itself is glorious!

The actual building is a 100 year old fish hatchery, although it does not have fish there anymore. It is really beautiful - the sort of thing you don't see any more. Wonderful stop on bike path with interactive touch screen displays, games, butterfly garden, demonstration gardens and UCD scientists at work. Lots of fun for all ages. We visit every time we are in Tahoe City. Even bigger science museum in Incline Village.
