Wonderful stop on bike path with interactive touch screen displays, games, butterfly garden, demonstration gardens and UCD scientists at work. Lots of fun for all ages. We visit every time we are in Tahoe City. Even bigger science museum in Incline Village.

I was referred to this place by the people at the Incline Village education center. In some ways this is even better. The actual building is a 100 year old fish hatchery, although it does not have fish there anymore. It is really beautiful - the sort of thing you don't see any more. Instead the UC Davis people do research there. They have great exhibits with old time video of when it was a hatchery and also some of things that are happening on the lake these days. All very interesting. I spend my time traveling around the world, and what researchers are doing here to help this beautiful lake is something I have never encountered before.

Excellent guided tour of the research building as well as lath garden and outdoor self guided tour. The wetlands were fascinating. Alison was an excellent and informative guide.

The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the Lake. We learned a lot and the presentation was relaxed and informative. Excellent from beginning to end. The building itself is glorious!
