45 mins each way, a bit rocky and steep in some places, but not difficult. A very popular hike, so expect queues. Nice views, and Eagle Lake is beautiful. Getting a parking spot is like winning the lottery. You're expected to fill out a permit...More

This is a short hike that provides a superb view of Lake Tahoe. If you are on the west shore, it is definitely worth it. There is very little parking, so it helps if you get there early or luck when someone is just leaving.

It is a short hike that leads you up there. The view is nice, not the best around the lake though. Volcanic rocks make it hard to sit and enjoy the view for long...

Many steps to get tot eh view but worth it. Quick hike to see a nice waterfall and amazing view of emerald bay. Worth stopping for.

Our family enjoys the scenic hike very much. Bring ice water with you in the summer. Go early for parking.

Great morning hike to break up the beach monotony. Moderate 1.8mi hike (each way) along a roaring river (June) and falls. Eagle lake is beautiful, quiet and freezing cold. Some people jumped in, but quickly got right back out.

We've done this hike many times. We take our lunch to eat at the lake before the trip back down. Fantastic scenery. Parking is a big problem.

Eagle Falls is beautiful and if you're weary, unable or just don't want to walk too far, it's a great payoff for little effort. Wear tennis shoes because it's very rocky. Many people are on the trail so you will be disappointed if you're looking...More

These falls and the lake are "take your breath away" views. The 45 min hike UP to the lake will also take away your breath, but it is a view that I'll hold forever. There was snow all over.

Yes! We just went this past weekend. We definitely recommend getting there early as parking fills up fast.
