Gorgeous turn off

Worth stopping and taking a seat on the provided benches. Very windy but worth taking a moment to enjoy.

You must go early, like 8 a.m. By 10-11 a.m no parking anywhere, even along the side of the road for a mile in either direction. Spoiled our time because we could not find a parking spot. Lovely view of Emerald Bay; one of us got out and looked at the view while the other kept driving. Wanted to do... More

Parking is a huge pain here, but the views are beautiful and worth it. You can also hike down to some nearby trails.

Parking is a challenge here, as the views over Emerald Bay are fantastic and the parking lot is small. Wait a bit and you will find a space, as most people stay 10 minutes or less.

We stopped here as the parking at Emerald Bay park was full. We were not disappointed - the views are simply amazing and have to be experienced by visiting! The drive up from South Lake Tahoe also offers fantastic scenery.

Have pictures of my sisters at this point back in 1971, view is still fantastic, crowded, but worth the stop.

It's just breath-taking standing at the viewing point taking in all natures wonders and beauty. It is well kept and landscaped. Definitely a to do! Parking could be difficult during the busy hours of the day as the lot is small but one can park on the road, if there's space.

Each season the west of the Lake Tahoe will appear to you differently. You have to try it once at least ! And be careful : don't fear the heights !

Look over the edge of the cliff into Emerald Bay and the island truly looks like a jewel in the beautiful waters. What a picture. Words cannot do this justice, you have to go and see it. Parking can bit a bit crazy in the peak season and and peak times so try and go early or late in the... More
