Very crowded. Lots of kids whose parents have "vacation brain" and aren't paying attention... Which made me nervous. We took my elderly grandmother here because we thought we could drive right up pretty close, but parking was limited due to the crowds. The walk to the point from overflow parking wasn't too bad though, she managed well. The children running... More

We stopped here during our drive around the lake and the view from here is beautiful and breathtaking. There's plenty of parking available and there are also lot of information boards so you can really understand what you are looking at and the history.

Came here during the winter to overlook the lake. The water was very blue, the trees were nicely flocked with snow and the mountains made for a very pretty horizon. The site was approximately 30 minutes from our cabin in Tahoe City. The "scenic" drive on the way there was fun for about 10 minutes. The parking lot for the... More

Gorgeous views of nature at its best. There was snow everywhere and it was very cold. Beautiful spot.

The turn out seems to have been updated. Very nice informational displays and great views of the little island and vikingsholm.

This places gives you great views of Emerald Bay. There are multiple vantage points; some clear shots and also some spots with trees in the foreground. Parking is limited to about 20 spots so that can be an issue during the busy season. I have a dually so I couldn't fit into any of the open spots. Had to park... More

Beautiful vista and not too hard to walk if you are disabled. Wheelchairs would be difficult. The photos we took here are some of my favorites of the trip. We asked someone to take our photo and have the view in the background! So worth it!!!

This was a great place to view and we had just a little time between the rain to see out and witness the beauty of this place. We had a great road trip with the family.
