We were greeted by a very friendly lady when we entered and decided to do the wine and cheese pairing/tasting. The wines were very good, as were the varieties of the cheeses. Our hostess was very good, engaging and humorous. We bought a bottle of white, which we normally don't gravitate towards. but this one was very good. Also bought some cheese for the road. If you like to taste pairings, don't miss this place.

‘Lala’ is fabulous. She knows her wines and the pairings with cheese is sublime. Each offering on the flight is better than the last, and when she pairs it with the in-house cheese, it goes to an unimaginable level. Plan on spending a little extra time here and then come back again and again. Cheers and thanks for the experience. All should check it out!!

We did the wine and cheese tasting and it was amazing! I highly recommend the whole wine/cheese pairing experience, not just the wine flight.

We tasted a variety of excellent cheeses. I was going to buy some until I found out they were too pricey for me.

The friendly and affable winemaker and owner, a former chef, is from the Napa Valley and still makes his wine there. The wine is excellent, but priced more on a Napa scale than is usual in Amador County, and will face stiff competition from other excellent local wines priced more reasonably.

Miller Wine Works is a treasure! We had heard of Gary Miller before entering their tasting room and we delighted to see him there. We had a great conversation with him tasting through their well balanced, nuanced wines - wines that are meant to be paired with delicious food. He is the winemaker and owner; a former chef as well. What a happy, hospitable man - obviously doing what he was meant to do. Recommend this sweet little tasting room 100%.

Perhaps, the highlight of our trip! We came across this tasting room at the beginning of our vacation, and are so happy we did. The town was fairly quiet at the time of our visit, so we got to chat for a bit longer with the owners as we tasted. They were so engaging, knowledgeable, and just plain fun! You could just feel their passion for what they do! I don't know much about wine, but gained some knowledge about grapes and the story of how Miller Wine Works came to be (Ask about the backwards "L"). The wine is INCREDIBLE! TRULY DIVINE! We ended up purchasing two bottles of wine; a rose to enjoy on our picnic lunch the next day and Maura's celebration (a blend) to bring with us to dinner at a restaurant that they had recommended that evening. We were so pleased with the wine that, naturally, we had to sign up for their Wine Club too!
