We had a great time visiting here with our two grandkids ages sever and nine. They loved walking onto the old rail cars and there were great educational exhibits inside as well. Worth a visit and close to the wind farms too.

An excellent museum of California interurban railroading; interesting to both adults and kids; a fascinating ride along a preserved section of the old Sacramento Northern; well-preserved of Bay Area interurban cars.

We enjoyed the Western Railway Museum in October to experience the pumpkin patch. Children and adults all enjoyed themselves. Staff is SO curteous and helpful. It's obvious they all enjoy their jobs. Train ride through countryside was fun yet peaceful.

The museum was very well done and fun. You got to get up close to the old trains in the barn. Plus, you got a great ride on an old electric train.
