My husband and I made a 2 pm reservation for labor day weekend when the temperature was over 105 degrees. We ended up going around noon and they were able to seat us. Seats are spread out and shaded with umbrellas and trees. There are misters everywhere that helped with the heat. We opted for wine tasting (instead of bottle or by the glass). We did a family flight ($20) and a reserved/select ($30). We got to chose 4 for each tasting off the respective list. The wine was good. We paired it with a charcuterie boards from Girl & the Fig and a smoked salmon platter from Aunt Momo's. It was perfect for 2 pple (we were hungry) and it held us over until late dinner. The staff was really friendly and attentive.

Looking at other reviews I will not be the first to proclaim this my favorite wine country stop. Visiting with friends who are part of the wine club, so maybe that helped, but looking around, I think this is just an exceptional establishment. We tried many wines, and found favorites of the day; even took some home. The seating area is great as well. Would love to visit again one day.

We stopped on a cool evening and there weren't any other guests so the hosts spent a good deal of time talking with us. We enjoyed their insights and their wines. I'd actually say 3.5 stars.

My wife and I came here as part of a full day tour put on by Gray Line and Roche was by far our favorite winery we stopped at. First of all, the place itself is absolutely beautiful, both the vineyards and the facilities. Second of all, the people there to greet us and walk us through their winery were as nice as possible and clearly cared a great deal about giving us the best possible experience. Lastly, the wine tasted delicious. We left here truly impressed and will be ordering from them online!

We were in Sonoma to visit another winery on October 9th, but their power was out and they were closed. As we walked by Roche (who also didn't have power), I saw a woman on the patio and asked if they were open and she said, "Honey, I have glasses, I have wine, come on over, we're open!". She was so friendly, knowledgable about the wines and poured generously. When we mentioned we were going to leave to get some food (since the brunch place at which we planned to eat was also out of power) she said "wait a minute " and re-appeared with a lovely selection of local cheeses, prosciutto, and crackers. We bought three bottles of wine and joined their wine club. Very welcoming and unpretentious, we will definitely be back!
