The staff was so knowledgeable about the types of grapes and the process of wine making!!! We sampled about 4 different wines…my favorite was the late harvest Chardonnay! Highly recommend!Visited April 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 1, 2023

Got to tour around the vineyard and get a glimpse of how their wine is made as well. The team made the tasting unforgettable - thank you!Visited October 2023Written October 14, 2023
- Jacquelyn B9 contributionsWonderful Winery in a Surprising Location! This was an amazing experience but not better than my first! This winery I wish was not located in the heart of downtown because the streets were busy which got a little distracting. The decor was wonderful and I loved the branded glasses that the wine was poured in. Each wine has a burst of flavors! The charcuterie board had the best olives ever. Other compliments on the board tasted perfect with the wines. The customer service had such a warm welcoming feel as we sat next to the fire pit. I loved this winery and will be back. I just wish it wasn't so busy next to the street.Visited October 2023Traveled on businessWritten October 27, 2023
- DDHZ2017Wollongong, Australia25 contributionsPerfect!Absolutely loved this winery! The wine, the venue and the staff. Such a fun time. Disappointed we couldn’t stay there longer but were with a wine tour so only had 1 hour. Honestly, we could have skipped the other two wineries we visited after Roche and happily stayed at Roche the entire time if we could have!Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 6, 2024
- StaceywhoEngland, United Kingdom25 contributions10/10 visitVisited Roche Winery as part of a wine tour. Sadly we only had an hour but we really enjoyed the presentation and tour by Natalie, the wine was my favourite of the day and we had some free time at the end to enjoy the views and wine. Very relaxing feel and the wine sold itself. Thank youVisited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 28, 2024

My husband and I made a 2 pm reservation for labor day weekend when the temperature was over 105 degrees. We ended up going around noon and they were able to seat us. Seats are spread out and shaded with umbrellas and trees. There are misters everywhere that helped with the heat. We opted for wine tasting (instead of bottle or by the glass). We did a family flight ($20) and a reserved/select ($30). We got to chose 4 for each tasting off the respective list. The wine was good. We paired it with a charcuterie boards from Girl & the Fig and a smoked salmon platter from Aunt Momo's. It was perfect for 2 pple (we were hungry) and it held us over until late dinner. The staff was really friendly and attentive.

You must taste the fantastic local wine when here. Roche’s tasting room just off the square is a great choice with fixed price tastings offering four wines or you can purchase wine by the glass.
In addition to souvenirs they also have boxes and bags for more secure transport of you purchase unless you can resist the temptation to leave without buying some of this excellent wine.
Our host also provided good advice and background of the wines we were about to taste.
A must do when here

Visited the tasting room with my parents on a whim on our way out of town. So glad we stopped! Nicki was helping us and helped us pick out flights suited to our tastes. Wine was tasty, my mom did the reserve and i did the standard. Both flights were great and we each found wines we enjoyed and i liked mine enough to join the club it was easy to ship wines back home and now i have future shipments to look forward to. Highly recommend a stop at their tasting room if you are visiting the Sonoma square.

My parents were visiting San Francisco from Ireland on a special trip. I thought they would enjoy the Roche vineyard as it's owned by an Irish family and they sell themselves as an Irish vineyard. I emailed the vineyard 2 weeks in advance to make a booking but only heard back from them late the night beforehand confirming the booking. My parents, two friends and I went along last Saturday. When we arrived my mother asked the hostess if the Irish owners were around and we were directed to the owners daughter Maura who was very kind and welcoming. She chatted to us all for a few minutes and escorted us to our table and told us the name of waiter who would be serving us. The waiter arrived and asked us how we knew the owner, we explained that we didn't know her, that we were Irish and had spoken to her about Ireland. He told us that he wasn't going to charge us for the wine tasting and that we could order any wines from two different tasting menus. We were delighted with this kind gesture and chose some wines to taste. At the end of our tasting the waiter came over to our table and told us to pay the woman at the desk. I was a bit confused and politely queried this. He said that he initially thought we knew the owners as we were chatting to Maura but later realized we were just regular guests so we were being charged. We paid the bill and left with a very bitter taste in our mouths. We were all shocked by this treatment. It ruined our day at the vineyards. I've never felt so humiliated in my life, especially in front of the guests that we had invited and my parents who had travelled from Ireland. My parents were also very upset, this is not Irish customer service. It was utmost disrespect and we were all very upset by this.

Jonathan took us on an amazing wine experience. There were 6 of us and he talked to us like we were family. He explained the history of the winery and was great at explaining the different wines we were tasting. He understood our tastes and helped to show us wines we would like. It’s a beautiful setting and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

My husband and I had a great time trying generous samples of wine. The hosts shared the science and techniques behind making a great bottle of wine. This family owned winery serves the best wine in Sonoma and Napa. We joined the wine club to continue the experience. We also loved Ms. Jean!!! She is a pro with pouring the wine and creating a fun atmosphere.

The experience was amazing. We visited 3 wineries (in Sonoma and Napa) and the Roche Winery was our favorite! Our tour guide, Mark, was the best! He was so kind and had conversations with every visitors of the winery to get to know them! He also gave us an incredible tour by explaining every little details that we needed to know about the wine’s! Our bus driver, Gregg, was also extremely nice! Thank you!

We chose Roche as our very first winery stop and it was perfect. Mark was so friendly and kind to show us the vines, explain the bud break and give us an education on the wines we were tasting. We enjoyed it so much and will remember this experience for years to come!
