Traveling through Sonoma we stopped at this charming vineyard for some wine tasting. We were fortunate enough to be the only people there and received a private tour as well as enjoyable tasting experience. The gentleman in the tasting room gave us a great education...More

I feel bad saying fair, because there really wasn’t anything “bad” about this tasting. It’s just not all the hype of the other wineries. The wines were ok, the server was knowledgeable, but just didn’t have the “wow” factor. The tasting room is quite small...More

When you turn onto Bonneau Road from Highway 121/Arnold Drive, you might think you're lost. But keep driving about .5 mile towards the vine-covered foothills where you will find the lovely Schug Carneros Estate Winery. There you will be rewarded by Schug's Sonoma Coast Sauvignon...More

We visited on a cloudy rainy day in March celebrating a birthday. The gentleman who was pouting, mostly did just that. Poured and gave us a tiny explanation of what we were drinking. We practically had to PULL the information out of him. He didn't...More

The reserved tasting was great. The tour, and our tour guide was excellent, wines were top notch. You are able to sit, relax and enjoy the tasting without feeling rushed, or feeling like it’s a “please join our wine club” infomercial.

We’ve been fans of Schug wines for a long time. Finally had a chance to pay a visit. Beautiful facilities, great seeing Axel Schug and of course, the wines! When in Sonoma, be sure to visit Schug!

Our tour guide (Damon - Bliss Wine Tours) selected Schug for us based on our interest on Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. We met Mary in the Schug cave where she presented to us three different choices for each of the two varietals - a menu...More

The focus at Schug is on the WINE! For years I have found their Pinot Noir to be the gold standard of this delicate varietal. Long before "Sideways" put Pinot Noir into the American lexicon, it has been a wine drinker's wine that Schug does...More
