Many years since our last visit. The vistas are still breathtaking. Lots of birds in the marshes, the landscape is now golden with fall colors. It is much busier, looks like a popular event venue. In spite of the crowds, we were warmly greeted, had a nice pizza, good conversation, and some lovely wine. The gift shop has interesting finds, too. Don't forget to rub the the spit of the boar sculpture (a replica of the Florence market) for luck!

This was our first time visiting Viansa, as well as our first time tasting their wines. We were impressed by both the wine and the property! The views cannot be beat, and our host was very knowledgeable and approachable. We did not feel rushed, and enjoyed all of the selections they poured for us. Next time we visit, we will definitely plan to eat there, as they have a great selection of food in their market area. I also appreciated their replica of the Il Porcellino sculpture, as I have seen the matching sculpture in Sydney and Florence, so it was a fun moment for me to see that.

We had reservations for 10:30 am and sat on the patio area called Vista Lounge which was cozy and had great views. Beautiful sunny morning, Perfect temperature. Wines were good. We had hoped that the winery would have started their pizza service since we wanted something for lunch before we left but we were told it was too soon in May.

This is such a nice venue for a quick trip to wine country from Marin County. You can walk among the vineyards below the winery, then walk up to the main tasting room. They have luxe wedding facilities as well, live music on the weekends in the summer, and good wine. They have a reasonably priced deli counter if you want lunch. It's on a hill so there's a great view. Staff are very friendly.
