- Cynthia RLouisville, Kentucky56 contributionsAlmost TuscanyMany years since our last visit. The vistas are still breathtaking. Lots of birds in the marshes, the landscape is now golden with fall colors. It is much busier, looks like a popular event venue. In spite of the crowds, we were warmly greeted, had a nice pizza, good conversation, and some lovely wine. The gift shop has interesting finds, too. Don't forget to rub the the spit of the boar sculpture (a replica of the Florence market) for luck!Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 29, 2023
- Carrie TMason, Ohio31 contributionsCan't Beat the ViewThis was our first time visiting Viansa, as well as our first time tasting their wines. We were impressed by both the wine and the property! The views cannot be beat, and our host was very knowledgeable and approachable. We did not feel rushed, and enjoyed all of the selections they poured for us. Next time we visit, we will definitely plan to eat there, as they have a great selection of food in their market area. I also appreciated their replica of the Il Porcellino sculpture, as I have seen the matching sculpture in Sydney and Florence, so it was a fun moment for me to see that.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 14, 2024
- Eric C S12 contributionsLovely morning at Viansa winery. We had reservations for 10:30 am and sat on the patio area called Vista Lounge which was cozy and had great views. Beautiful sunny morning, Perfect temperature. Wines were good. We had hoped that the winery would have started their pizza service since we wanted something for lunch before we left but we were told it was too soon in May.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 25, 2024
- MaryTheExplorerSan Rafael, California86 contributionsWine Tasting on the way to SonomaThis is such a nice venue for a quick trip to wine country from Marin County. You can walk among the vineyards below the winery, then walk up to the main tasting room. They have luxe wedding facilities as well, live music on the weekends in the summer, and good wine. They have a reasonably priced deli counter if you want lunch. It's on a hill so there's a great view. Staff are very friendly.Visited June 2024Traveled with friendsWritten July 10, 2024

Attempted to taste wines on a Monday. After being told to wait while 2 staff members did something on the computer. Then we were ignored while the staff member took care of 2 women who came in after us. 2 other staff members approached the counter where we waited and still no one decided to help us. After 10 minutes or longer, the guy who waited on the 2 women came over. Then he told us they weren't doing tastings except by reservation but we could buy a bottle of wine. We were ignored then insulted. What a way to get out of state tourists to return! Do NOT go to this place.

We were so disappointed with our tasting that we left early.
Let me start out by saying the winery is lovely and the the views are great. On the flip side, our wine server was inattentive and dismissive. After our first pours we sat with empty glasses for a looong time before we saw our server again - this wasn't leisurely service but rather, poor service. And after our second pours and telling us only where the grapes were grown he started walking away, and we literally had to stop him and say "Can you tell us anything ABOUT the wine?" He seemed much more interested in the women at another table - we heard him telling them way more than he told us. We'd planned to have a glass of wine, after our tasting, along with some lunch, and instead we just left.
The winery is getting a 2 for the AMAZING women at the food counter - they were friendly, helpful, they answered all questions, and they provided outstanding service by putting our cheese in a bag along with some ice.
We'd done a lot of research and this was the only winery at which we tasted, so getting such poor service was a big disappointment.

We had the most lovely visit to Viansa in Sonoma. Our outdoor tasting on the patio overlooking the vineyards was so peaceful and relaxing. The service was impeccable and the wine was delicious. We ordered several bottles of wine to send home - and the cost to ship was quite reasonable. I would definitely visit again next time we're in Sonoma!

The winery has a beautiful Italian atmosphere with amazing views of the valley. It was the perfect setting for proposing to my fiancé. We visited from out of town and Jeannine was so helpful in setting everything up before we arrived. She picked the most amazing overlook for us and even helped with makeup to cover happy tears before our engagement photo shoot. We can’t thank Viansa and the staff enough for a truly memorable experience. A million times, THANK YOU!

With our reservation we experienced an easy check in with safe social distancing protocols in place. We enjoyed our tasting with a table over looking (Northeast) the vineyard and wetlands. There were long tables behind us for larger groups which made it a bit noisy at times, but nevertheless we enjoy our serene experience. We ordered a charcuterie board for one, which was plenty for the two of us to nibble on.

We frequent Napa / Sonoma and have been to Viansa twice. As of Jan 2020, they have two tastings a classic and reserve. The classic is $15 and reserve is $20. Both are considered DEALS in the Napa Sonoma area. The view is gorgeous ! The wines were good, we enjoyed ourselves . They also have a shop and sell gifts and snacks!

This was a repeat visit as we’ve been to Viansa several times previously, are club members and rated it 5 of 5 on all previous visits. This time was disappointing. We did the Outlook tasting knowing the experience is one of the best having beautiful 360 views and great wines. The tasting representative, Jamal, had some knowledge but couldn’t answer or be bothered to get us Information we requested even though he said he would. He seemed preoccupied with other efforts or was too new? Hopefully this was just a one-off experience as we’ve always loved Viansa!

We are nondrinker. Can we stop by to buy food in the marketplace and have breakfast in the back terrace?

They definitely have food, but not sure about breakfast. The terrace is lovely.
