The gorgeous and expansive Nicholson estate is relatively new to the area, these vines having been put in the ground by the owner. The tasting room and surrounding grounds are marvelous, well laid-out, with several cozy area to sit and enjoy not only the wine, but the accompanying scenery, too. Inside, our tasting guide explains the history of the vineyard as we enjoy our first glass of Chardonnay, continuing the experiencing with a walk outside, between the vines. Here, we taste a second Chardonnay, along with a Pinot Noir, as well as the grapes they came from, straight from the vine. We finish up with a final Pinot back in the tasting room, and I decide that, as lovely as it is to sip a wine while walking among the vines, it is not conducive to proper wine-tasting, and the sun is heating up my wine, affecting the flavour. But the experience is wonderful, and just the idea of wine-tasting among the vines is super-romantic!

This was the first of the small estate vineyards we visited. What a great experience. We did the club tasting, allowing us to have 6 of the reserve and higher end varieties. The grounds here were just beautiful and the tasting room very comfy. Our bartender Arthur was very knowledgeable about each of the wines and made the tastings informative. While we liked all of the wines we had the coastal Pinot noir was especially good. We got to meet the owner Deepak as well. This winery is quiet, comfortable and excellent. We could not recommend it more highly.

It is so refreshing to tour a winery that is still family owned. This place is really special. Our guide, Miguel, did a wonderful job showing us the property and facilities, and telling us about the winery's history. There were only 4 of us on the tour so we were able to ask questions and get a lot of detail. Wear walking shoes - the terrain is uneven. Incorporating wine tasting along the tour enhanced the whole experience. I'm glad we discovered this place and their wines.

Really enjoyed this hidden gem. Depak the owner led us thru a thorough tour of the Ranch. Learned a lot and found the wines very smooth and easy to drink. Highly recommend.

Very nice small estate winery producing around 8,000 cases. Located in Sonoma near the Carneros area producing mainly Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs that are natural without fertilizers and pesticides. The wine are nice but pricey. The only way to buy their wines is through their wine club or at the winery.
