A beautiful Alpine vineyard and tasting room.
Excellant wines and a strong line up of varietals.
Randy and Teena are wonderful hosts!
Their property is also great for events like weddings, etc

Salud to Saluti Cellars
Aug 2019
The grounds couldn't be more beautiful and the owners couldn't be more inviting.

We stopped by this place for the first time because of a recommendation of a friend and we were pleasantly surprised. It's the first winery where we found a Bed and Breakfast operation as well.

As for the wine, well, I don't drink so I couldn't tell you as I was the Designated Driver as well. However, from the reviews of my posse, it was above average.

Picturesque winery to enjoy good wine with cheese and bread
Aug 2018 • Couples
A very nice area to go wine tasting that has gotten little press compared to Napa is the Placerville area and wineries in the Fairplay/Somerset area. One of the most beautiful venues that we visited was Saluti Cellars. They make some very good wine and the surroundings are very scenic. The location also houses a small B&B and they can also support weddings.

Make sure you bring some bread and cheese board to enjoy your wine on a relaxing afternoon for wine tasting. Wine tasting is $5 per person but they waive the costs if you purchase some wine. We really enjoyed their Viognier white wine and the conversations with owner who was doing the pouring.

Beautiful venue and outstanding wines!
May 2018
We've heard about Saluti for a few years thanks to our friends at Platinum Limousine. They were right. We were greeted by the team of Tina and Randy. The colorful and amazing owners. If it wasn't for their wines, they'd be the perfect pairing!
Randy took us on a tour of the grounds. Beautiful. New pool, spa and covered bbq/gathering area. This would be great for parties or just hanging out.
The wines. The wines. Excellent. As good as any. We joined the wine club. This is the 4th club. The last one. I hope!
A great experience from front to back. Thanks to Tina and Randy for making us feel at home. We talked a lot about the local community and all sorts of things. Do yourself a favor and go here. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely B&B and small winery
Jul 2016
Wines were good especially the 2013 Estate Syrah. Very friendly owners, she volunteered to give us a tour of the B&B. Wish we had known about it but will plan a return visit and stay overnight.

Very good wine, beautiful site

We love visiting Saluti when we go to Fairplay. Their Syrah is wonderful and their location is the best in the area. Only down side is the prices are a bit steep for this area. If they were in Napa they would be the best and cheapest, but this is why we don't go to Napa we go to Fairplay. Wonderful wine, reasonable price and great people. Saluti has the wine and the people.

Our Fav place to visit!
Aug 2015
We found this winery on a recommendation and couldn't believe what we had been missing! Beautiful property, wine cave, event center with concerts and food in August and a B&B. We have since been wine club members for 2 years and stayed at the B&B just last month. Wonderful stay and accommodations. Highly recommend if you like FairPlay Loop wineries.

Lovely Winery with Bed and Breakfast
Dec 2014 • Couples
The fully furnished kitchen and one bedroom Zinfandel suite overlooks the scenic property. Randy and Tina are wonderful warm and friendly hosts that made our stay very special. Too many wineries to count within minutes of the location. Saluti Cellar's wine is terrific and the cellar and venue are perfect for special occasions. We will be back to this place as it is one of our favorites.

Great Experience!
Nov 2014 • Couples
My husband and I visited Saluti Cellars for the first time a few days ago while on a Wine Tasting Trip to the area. I came across the information and description for this Winery on the El Dorado County Winery Association's website, and then read some great reviews by other visitors! I can see why other wine enthusiasts are singing their praises. First of all Randy and Tina are wonderful, welcoming people. When you step into the Wine Tasting Room at Saluti Cellars, you feel like you are stepping into their home. Tina was behind the tasting bar pouring. She has a very enthusiastic, infectious personality, and was a lot of fun to talk with. She made sure each and every guest was well taken care of, and at one point she served samples of a homemade pumpkin soup she had made earlier in the morning. Apparently, every Sunday, she makes a soup that is to be paired with one of the wine pours. Talk about feeling warm and welcome!

The wines we tasted were delicious. The first wine poured was an award winning Viognier. Generally speaking, I am usually not a huge fan of Viognier, but Randy at Saluti Cellars has won me over. We ended up buying a bottle of the Viognier, as well as several bottles of the 18 Hands Bordeaux Blend; a wine made as a tribute to their resident Clydesdale Horse, Norman. During our last pour, Randy told everyone in the Tasting Room to bring our glasses and join him for a tour of the Wine Cave. At the end of the cave sits an enormous wood dining table made by Randy himself, and all of the side chairs as well. It’s a gorgeous piece of furniture. This setting is utilized for wedding rehearsal dinners as well as some other Wine Club Member events. What a great place to break bread and have some wine.

At the end of our tasting, my husband and I went out to the patio to set up our picnic. I had chosen this winery in particular to have lunch at that day because I had seen some photos of the grounds and property. It is just as gorgeous there as I had imagined. The grounds are lush and lovely, with a beautiful man-made pond as the centerpiece. At one point, Randy let Norman into the fenced in area around the pond so he could have “his lunch”. It’s quite a site to look down at the pond and see a Clydesdale horse grazing at a Winery. We had such a relaxing time and enjoyed the atmosphere so much, when all was said and done we realized that we had been at the Winery for 4 hours! Randy and Tina said if we wanted to stay for a bit longer, they were going to light a bonfire down near the pond. If we hadn't already been there for so long, we would have gladly joined them. Like I have said, Tina and Randy really make you feel welcome. We can’t wait to come back to Saluti Cellars on our next trip to the area. It has instantly become a favorite on our list of great Wineries to visit!
