Santa Barbara Vineyard to Table Taste Tour by Bike

48 reviews
Ride through the towns and vineyards of the Santa Ynez Valley wine region on this bike tour with transport from Santa Barbara. With a guide, you'll pedal a specialized hybrid bike to a winery and other spots for wine tastings, an olive-oil tasting, and an Italian-inspired picnic lunch. A bike tour allows you to enjoy better views of the scenery than from inside a car, and three distance options are available to suit your ability and preference.

If you’re looking for some fun, adventure and a great exercise then Dr J’s is the perfect place for you. Our tour guide, Scott, was very familiar with everything in the area and had some great recommendations for restaurants, wine tasting, etc.. Will definitely be back, thanks again for the great experience!

Corey and his team are lifesavers. My friend, Jason Rude, and I arrived in the Solvang area for an extended stay to cycle the area's beautiful hills and mountains. Upon putting my bike together, I realized my Di2 battery had been pushed too far up the seat post to be properly connected. Unable to reach it myself, I showed up at Dr. J's and Corey calmly performed precision surgery to reach the previously inaccessible battery allowing the bike to restore power to my gears. I am so grateful for his attention and creative thinking to get me back on the road! Thank you, Corey!!

We rented 2 road bikes (for husband & wife in the mid 50s) and 1 e-bike (for my friend who does not ride regularly). The SHOP OWNER, Corey, is so nice. Our bikes were ready for us upon arrival. We have rented bikes from many places before, but this was the MOST SATISFYING BIKE RENTAL AND TOUR of all. Our TOUR GUIDE: Mr. ROGER was not only friendly but also very knowledgeable. Roger went above and beyond to guide us through the well-planned bike routes, which includes flat roads, gentle hills and a steep climb of 1.5 miles up the Happy Canyon Rd. (the climb was our request, since we both are experienced riders). Our friend, who is an inexperienced rider, enjoyed her e-bike so much! After the climb, we rode to the winery and LUNCH was ready under the gazebo by the water!! We had wine tasting and purchased several bottles to be shipped to our home in Texas. Total of 40+ miles (as per our request). 2900 ft. elevation (because of the PERSONAL requested climb that one can skip - if prefer not to ascend and descend from steep hills). An EPIC journey from beginning to end. HIGHLY RECOMMENDING THIS BIKE SHOP and their GUIDED WINERIES TOUR. We will do it again in the future, except we plan to book with them for the entire week and will bring our friends along !!!

We rented bikes for three days here and found the owner to be a very nice guy who was eager to please. The rental prices were reasonable and the bikes were in good shape. AND they have electric bikes which for at least one of us (there were 4 and I would be that 1!!!!) was wonderful. We also did a wine tour out of Dr J's which was really fun - our guide - Scott - was great. I highly recommend this attraction and with them having electric bikes - ANYONE can do it!

We chose Dr J's because of the reviews here on Tripadvisor. Wow, we were not disappointed. Our plan was to do a self guided tour but when we checked in they offered a private guided tour as it was low season and midweek. Scott was our guide who proved to be both very entertaining, enjoyable and quite knowledgeable of local history and lore. Then at the half way point we stopped at a winery for tasting and an amazing personal farm to table lunch prepared by Ashley and served by Corey, the owner of J's. Overall, just an outstanding adventure topped off with unbelievable customer service. Thank you from Steve and Nan
